The Dalles Weekly Reminder, August 25, 1983
     Murrl Elizabeth Evans, 73, a resident of The Dalles since 1976, died 
Sept. 22 at a Portland hospital.
     She was born Sept. 22, 1909 at Whitebird, Idaho.
     Miss Evans taught schools in eastern Oregon and Washington.  She was a 
member of the First Christian Church, Delta Kappa Gamma and the Retired 
Teachers Association.
     Survivors include two brothers, Terald and Warren D. Evans, both of 
LaGrande; two sisters, Mrs. Glenn (Marge) Kunsman, The Dalles, and Mrs. Opal 
Silva, Roseburg, and several nieces and nephews.
     Funeral services were Saturday at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home.   
Burial was at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery.
