The Dalles Weekly Reminder, February 23, 1984
     Altie (Peggy) Floyd, 81, a lifelong resident of The Dalles area, died 
Friday at a local nursing home.

     She was born Feb. 17, 1903, in Wamic.

     Mrs. Floyd was a member of the American Legion.

     Survivors include her husband, Cecil Floyd, The Dalles; a son, Norman 
McDonald of Donald; two daughters, Charlotte Smith, The Dalles and Margaret 
Stark, Grass Valley; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  Another 
son, Jim McDonald, died earlier.

     Funeral services were Tuesday at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home 
with the Rev. Ron Keyser officiating.  Burial followed at the Grass Valley 
Cemetery.

    Pallbearers were Clair Russell, James Dunn, Harold Davis, Paul, Duane and 
Patrick Reineccius.

     Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Columbia 
Basin Nursing Home.
