The Dalles Weekly Reminder, December 22, 1983
     Simon Peter Foote, 42, a resident of Portland and a former resident of 
The Dalles, died Dec. 11 in Portland.
     He was born Aug. 14, 1941 in Corpus Christi, Tex., and moved in 1946 to 
The Dalles with his parents.
     He attended school in The Dalles and joined the U.S. Army in 1963 and was 
a Vietnam War Veteran.  After leaving the service he worked as an auto 
mechanic in Portland.
     Survivors include his wife, Paulette Foote, Portland; a son, David, 
Portland; five daughters, Cindy, Candace and Dawn, all of Portland, Annette, 
Gresham, and Paula, in Germany; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Foote, 
The Dalles.
     Funeral services were Friday at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home with 
the Rev. Ron Keyser officiating.  Burial was at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery.
