The Dalles Weekly Reminder, December 29, 1983
     Theda Hope Ford, 67, a resident of The Dalles for 45 years, died Friday 
morning at her home.
     She was born Oct. 6, 1916 in Wichita, Kan.
     Mrs. Ford graduated from The Dalles School of Nursing in 1940 and worked 
in Portland hospitals and later at the local hospital before her retirement in 
November of 1978.  She was a member of the Oregon Nurses Association.
     Survivors include her husband, Robert E. Ford, whom she married in Tacoma 
in 1941; three sons, Jerry, Pendleton; Robert, The Dalles; and Stephen, San 
Diego; a daughter, JoLynn Latimer, San Antonio, Tex.; six grandchildren; a 
brother, Gilbert Williams, Portland; and a half-sister, Lois Ann Burrus, 
Eugene.
     Funeral services were yesterday (Wednesday) at Spencer, Libby & Powell 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Milton Hopper officiating.  Private burial was at 
Parklawn Cemetery.
