Wakley iwakley@msn.com June 2, 2006, 1:15 am The Dalles Chronicle, April 11, 2006 Dawn Galliano, 68, of Vancouver, Wash., and formerly a resident of The Dalles died Sunday, April 9, 2006, at her home. She was born May 14, 1937, at Toppenish, Wash., to William Jennings and Della Aleen (Stayton) Bryan. She graduated from The Dalles High School in 1955. In 1955, she married Bob Fraley at The Dalles. They had two daughters, Charla and Karen. In 1979, she married Bruno Galliano at Reno, Nev. She was employed in The Dalles for many years before retiring at age 42 after 17 years of employment with the ASCS office. She and her husband, Bruno, then moved to Portland. She loved spending time with her husband, and the two of them spent much time traveling, boating and visiting friends and family. Her hobbies included gardening, painting, knitting and bargain-hunting. She is survived by her husband, Bruno; two daughters: Charla Fraley and her significant other, Rick Farris, The Dalles; and Karen Mohr and her significant other, Brian Frank, Lake Oswego; two sisters: Betty and her husband, Glen Paege, Yuma, Ariz.; and Carolyn and her husband, Kent Gooding, Sherwood; two step-daughters: Debbie and her husband, Don Nolen, Beavercreek; and Cindy and her husband, Wayne Christopherson, of Milwaukie; two step-sons: Randy Galliano and his wife, Kim, Vancouver, and Dean Galliano, Coronado, Calif.; eight grandchildren: Jackie and her husband, Kevin Troutt, Vancouver; Carrie Herman, The Dalles; Christian Jorg and his wife, Lori, of Hillsboro; Canaan Nolen-Reiersgaard and his significant other, Kent Reiersgaard, Seattle; Jonathan Christopherson, Milwaukie; Angela and Alicia Galliano, Mountain View, Calif.; Dean Galliano Jr., Coronado; and three great-grandchildren; Madison Troutt, Vancouver; Abigail Cummings, The Dalles; and Connor Jorg, Hillsboro; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Beva, and her brother, Melvin. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 14, at the Cherry Park Grange, located at 1002 Lambert and Old Dufur Road in The Dalles. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice Southwest, 100 E. 33rd St., Vancouver, Wash., 98663.
