The Dalles Weekly Reminder, February 10, 1983
     Thomas Richard Hester, 72, died Feb. 6 at Mid-Columbia Medical Center.
     He was born Dec. 6, 1910 in Christian County, Ky.
     Mr. Hester was a World War II Army veteran.
     Memorial funeral service was today at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral 
Home, conducted by American Legion Post 19.  Cremation will be in Portland.
     Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Beck, Commerce City, Colo.; a 
brother, Bill Hester, Napa, Calif., two daughters.
