The Dalles Weekly Reminder , July 17, 1987
Frances M. Hockman, 89, died July 7 in The Dalles.  She was a lifelong 
resident of Wasco County.

Mrs. Hockman was born Sept. 13, 1897, in Grass Valley.  She was a member of 
St. Peter Catholic Church and Altar Society, and the American Legion 
Auxiliary.  For many years, she was a music teacher in this area.  She was 
preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin F. Hockman and son Donivan J. 
Hockman.

She is survived by her son, Michael E. Hockman of Portland; daughter, Mary P. 
Hockman of The Dalles; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted at Smith Callaway Chapel officiated by Rev. Henry 
Albrecht, followed by private interment.  Memorials are suggested to St. 
Mary's Foundation in The Dalles.
