The Dalles Weekly Reminder, February 2, 1984
     Irene V. Jones, 65, a resident of The Dalles area since 1958, died 
yesterday (Wednesday) at her home.

     She was born July 19, 1918 in Valley, Wash.

     Survivors include her son, Thomas (Tom) C. Jones, The Dalles; a brother, 
George Beardsley, Longview, Wash.; a sister, Velma Kiefer, Vancouver, Wash.; 
four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

     Graveside services are tomorrow (Friday) at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery with 
Pastor Ed Long officiating.  Viewing is today (Thursday) until 7 p.m. and 
tomorrow until 2 p.m. at Smith Callaway Chapel.

     For those who wish, the family has suggested contributions to the Irene 
Jones Memorial Library Fund, in care of Smith Callaway Chapel.
