The Dalles Weekly Reminder, January 29, 1982
     Alice M. Lavander, 92, a longtime resident of The Dalles area, died Jan. 
20 at a local nursing home.
     She was born Sept. 21, 1889 at Turon, Kan.
     Survivors include two daughters, Wilma Null, The Dalles, and Katherine 
Jaeger, Kingbridge, Idaho; two sons, Bob Belshe, Moro and Loyd Belshe, 
Brennon, Wash.; a sister, Marie Plester, North Bonneville, Wash.; nine 
grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
     Funeral services were Jan. 22 at Smith Callaway Chapel with Rev. Eugene 
Schooler officiating.  Burial was at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery.
     Pallbearers were Milford and Terry Trapp, Bob Caldwell, Carl Bergman, Sam 
Monaghan and Mike Moore.
     Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund in care of U.S. National Bank in 
The Dalles.
