The Dalles Weekly Reminder, September 18, 1987
Don R. Lefler, 51, died near Klamath Falls in a motor vehicle accident Sept. 
9.  He was a resident of The Dalles for 17 years and was moving to Klamath 
Falls to continue work with the Bonneville Power Administration.

Mr. Lefler was born Sept.13, 1935 in Salt Lake City.  He served 10 years in 
the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Eagles Lodge, The Dalles Bowling 
Association and the Columbia Gorge Motorcycle Club.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Lefler of The Dalles; a daughter, Dawn 
Lefler, of Cardiff, Calif.; two sons, Dale Lefler of Redmond, Calif., and Neil 
Lefler of The Dalles; one step-son, Darrel Lee of The Dalles; five 
grandchildren.

Memorial services were held at the Eagles Lodge.  Memorial s are suggested to 
the Oregon Heart Fund in care of Mid-Columbia Gorge Motorcycle Club.  Spencer, 
Libby and Powell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
