     Daniel R. Luthy, 23, died on July 4, 2004 in Enterprise, Miss.
     He was born on July 28, 1980 in Souix Falls, S.D., the son of John and 
Mary Luthy. He was raised and began his education in the Souix Falls area and 
at age 15 moved to England where he graduated from Laken Heath High School. He 
was active in the drama club and acted in the Laken Heath community theater.
     Following graduation, he returned to Rapid City, S.D., to attend college 
at the School of Mines and Technology. During that time he developed his own 
business as a DJ for local events. He later attended Antioch College in Yellow 
Springs, Ohio where he was currently enrolled, majoring in mathematics with a 
minor in international studies.
     He was an accomplished cartoonist, a talent he developed at an early age. 
He enjoyed travel and was fluent in Spanish and German.
     He is survived by this father and stepmother, John and Annette Luthy of 
Deldorf, Germany; mother Mary Boatright of Mesa, Ariz.; sisters Dora Li 
Harrison of Vancouver, B.C., Tonia Bogue of Pierre, S.D., and Tonya Boatright 
of Chadwick, Neb.; grandmothers Dorothy Luthy of Rowena and June Aanderud of 
Vista, Calif.
     A funeral service was scheduled for Saturday, July 10 at 10 a.m. at 
Gresham Funeral Chapel. A committal service will be held on Monday, July 12 at 
1 p.m. at Powell Butte Cemetery.
