The Dalles Chronicle, August 22,  2006
     Joyce Ann Mobley, 61, a resident of The Dalles and former resident of 
Goldendale, died at a local care facility on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006.

     She was born March 19, 1945, in Portland, the younger of two children to 
Wyndel William and Bernice Viola (Thorn) Barger. She was raised and attended 
schools in Klickitat, and later received her GED. 

     She married Earl Mobley in August 1962 in Klickitat at the Grace Lutheran 
Church. They spent many years in the Pacific Northwest, where they had three 
children and then eventually moved to Southern California.

     She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, 
camping and fishing. She was a baptized member of Grace Lutheran Church and 
also enjoyed helping with Sunday School and VBS. 

     She is survived by her two daughters, Angela Mobley, Yuma, Ariz.; Missy 
Dietz, The Dalles; five grandchildren, James, William and Alex, Yuma, Ariz.; 
Kirstie, Goldendale; and Savannah, The Dalles; her brother, Larry Barger and 
his wife, Kathryn, East Wenatchee, Wash.; numerous nieces, nephews, extended 
family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Jason Mobley in 1979 
and her parents, Wyndel and Bernice. 

     Graveside services will be held at Mountain View Cemetery on Wednesday, 
Aug. 23, 2006 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Steve Anable officiating. Erdman Funeral 
Home is in care of arrangements.
