    Wahneetta L. Powell, 87, a resident of The Dalles, died in The Dalles on
November 19, 2002.
    She was born in Amsterdam, Missouri on April 1, 1915. She had lived in 
The Dalles for 22 years.
    She enjoyed fishing, gardening and Bingo.
    Graveside services were held November 23 at Fir Lawn Cemetery in Hillsboro
(Oregon). Reverend Bryan Austring of Helvetia Community Church officiated.
    Memorials may be made to The Wasco County Animal Shelter.
