The Dalles Weekly Reminder, Feb 5, 1982
     Louis Millard Schadewitz, 78, a resident of The Dalles for the last four 
years, and a former resident of Condon and California, died Jan. 30 in a 
Portland hospital.
     He was born Jan. 27, 1903 in Kent.
     Mr. Schadewitz was a carpenter, and a member of The Dalles Elks Lodge.
     Survivors include his wife, Fay, The Dalles; a son, Theodore Schadewitz, 
White Salmon; four daughers, Darlene Williams, Shingle Springs, Calif., Nelma 
Miller, Vallejo, Calif., Shirley Cinnamon, Portland, Kay Schadewitz, 
Bremerton, Wash.; a stepson, John Ilett, Boise, Idaho; three stepdaughters, 
Lola Emert and Marily Shaw, both of Boise and Jenean Christian, Portland; two 
sisters, Olive Barnett and Lola Barnett, both of The Dalles; a brother, Melvin 
Schadewitz, Portland; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services were Feb. 2 at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home.  
Private burial was at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery.
     Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
