The Dalles Weekly Reminder, September 20, 1984
     Victor Lee Schadewitz, 63, died at Mid-Columbia Medical Center Thursday, 
Sept. 13, after an extended illness.  He resided in The Dalles for the last 12 
years.
     He was born in Kent on June 11, 1921.  He served in the U.S. Army during 
WWII.  He worked most recently for the Wasco County Road Department.  He was a 
member of the Eagles Lodge, The Dalles.
     He is survived by his wife Joyce Schadewitz; two stepsons, Kyle and 
Steven Sexton, Portland; two step-daughters, Sandra Shaw, The Dalles, and 
Katherine Kosse, Vancouver, Wash.; 7 grandchildren; three brothers, Cecil 
Schadewitz, The Dalles; James Schadewitz, Rathdrum, Idaho and Charles 
Schadewitz, Spokane, Wash.; several nieces and nephews.
     Funeral services were Saturday at Spencer, Libby & Powell Funeral Home, 
with Rev. Thornton Gapen officiating.  Burial followed at the Odd Fellows 
Cemetery in The Dalles.
