The Dalles Weekly Reminder, October 11, 1984
     Edward Eby Schallhorn, 70, died in Portland, Oct. 4.  He resided in The 
Dalles for the past 32 years.
     He was born July 24, 1914 in Saskatchewan, Canada.  He served in WWII in 
the U.S. Army.  He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and The Dalles 
Country Club.
     He is survived by his wife Naomi Schallhorn, The Dalles; two sons, 
Edward, Woodburn, and Stephen, Portland; five daughters, Ruth Bates, 
Hillsboro; Juliana Foote, The Dalles; Theresa Kelly, Silverton; Mary 
Anghilante, The Dalles; and Lauri Krause, Irrigon; two brothers and three 
sisters; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
     Mass of Christian burial was at St. Peter Catholic Church, Saturday.  
Burial followed at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery.  Pallbearers were George Gale, 
Bob Brogan, Boyd Jacobsen, Dale Fallon, Milt Tumilson and Bill Nagle.
     Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's School library fund.  Spencer, 
Libby & Powell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
