The Dalles Chronicle, April 12, 1988
Crystal LaVern Talbot, 72, a resident of The Dalles for 26 years, died at a 
local nursing home on Saturday.

She was born Nov. 11, 1915 in Hastings, N.D. to Elias and Jeanette (Simonson) 
Erickson.

She worked for many years as a legal secretary, retiring from the office of 
Heisler and Van Valkenburgh in 1981.  She was a member of Faith Lutheran 
Church.

Survivors include her husband, Harold O., The Dalles, whom she married May 13, 
1934 in Glasgow, Mont.; a son, Judson Joe Talbot, Seattle; a daughter, 
Penelope Sue Zeiler, Milwaukie; four grandchildren, Janet and Douglas Zeiler, 
Milwaukie, and Kathleen and Steven Talbot, Seattle; and a sister, Edna Mae 
Erickson, Minneapolis.

Private funeral services were held Tuesday at noon at Spencer, Libby & Powell 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Schooler officiating.  Memorials may be made 
to the American Cancer Society.
