He resided in The Dalles for the past two years. He was born May 20, 1901 in Kent, Wash. Mr. Titus served in World War I with the Marine Corps and worked as a boilermaker in the Seattle shipyards until he retired in 1958. He is survived by a son, John M. Titus Jr., Goldendale, Wash.; a daughter, Mrs. Bob (Edena) Gardner, The Dalles; 11 grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren, and a sister, Sarah Carlile, Walla Walla, Wash. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home with Pastor Asa Jenson officiating. Burial will follow at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don and Ron Titus, Don and Steve Uhalde, Vernon Johnson and Clay West. Memorials may be made to the Oregon Heart Fund.
