The Dalles Weekly Reminder, July 21, 1983
     A memorial service was held today, Thursday, July 21 at 7 pm. at the 
Montavilla Baptist Church, Portland, for Jerene Kara Vernon, 6 weeks, who died 
Sunday at the Oregon Health Sciences University, Portland.  She was born May 
31.
     The baby was a victim of sudden infant death symdrome, her father said.  
She was flown by Life Flight helicopter from the local hospital to Portland. 
     Survivors are her parents, Frank and Phyllis Vernon, The Dalles; and 
grandparents, Ora Bernice Vernon, Boise, Idaho, and Victor and Margaret 
Anderson, Evanston, Wyo.
