The Dalles Weekly Reminder, March  25, 1988
Dollie Vertle Ward, 88, died in The Dalles March 19.  She had lived here since 
1954.

Mrs. Ward was born in Dade County, Mo., on Dec. 18, 1899.  She was a member of 
the Rebekah Lodge and attended Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Frank Stigall of Selah, Wash.; a daughter, Donna 
Ryan of Centralia; a step-daughter, Florence Johnson of Walla Walla; a 
stepson, Royal Ward of Nehalem; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home followed 
by burial at The Dalles IOOF Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetic Association in care of 
Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home.
