Carsten, 67, of Christie Station near Roy, died at the Smith Hospital Wednesday evening after an illness of two weeks. Funeral services will be held from the Prickett Chapel at Forest Grove at 2:00 PM Sunday, and interment will be in the Banks Cemetery. Reverend J. R. Jeffery of the Methodist Church of Forest Grove will conduct the services. Mrs. Carsten, whose maiden name was Flora Wilson was born on her father's donation land claim near Roy 10 March 1862, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Wilson. Her father came to this county in 1843 and the mother in 1846. She was married February 26,1882 to Mr. Carsten at Roy. All of her life was spent in Washington County. She is survived by the widower and a daughter, Mrs. George Corey of Christie. A son died in infancy. Two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Fowler of Forest Grove and Mrs. B. M. Smith of Portland and a brother, James Wilson of Forest Grove also survive.
