The groups were situated in an easy- as- you- please fashion about the front of the old parental home and looked comfortable and cozy. ---- We understand that a move is being made with a prospect to have the annual meeting of the Oregon Pioneers which occurs in June next at McMinnville. Yamhill has never been honored by such an event yet. We can produce the most comfortable grounds for their use and will extend to the venerable patriarchs both old and young, the best of our cordial hospitality. --- We took a little spin one day this week over the old wagon road to Lafayette. The pattering rains of the winter have packed the road solid and smooth and as there has been notravel for some time to ruffle the leveled roadway, we find it now a delightful drive. The bridge at the North Yamhill has been repaired and to all appearance is in as good condition as it was for some months a few years ago when many a thousand bushel of grain passed over it in great four- horse loads. Still it is best to be cautious. The bridge may not be as good as it seems and may prove a trap for the lives or property of those who may be led too far in the venture. The structure, we must recollect, has been condemned by proper authority and whoever crosses upon the bridge does so at his own risk. ---- Wedded - - - Miss Abbie Cozine of this place was married in Tillamook about two weeks ago to Mr. Chas.
