W., was born in Dover, England, November 20, 1807, and died in Binghamton, N.Y., April 3, 1885. He was converted at an early age, and at fifteen received a local preacher's license. When twenty-five years of age he came to America. Here his gifts were recognized and his services as a local preacher continually sought. In 1836 he joined the Oneida Conference, and became a member of Wyoming Conference at its organization. In 1831 he married Miss Mary Ann Adkins, of Ramsgate, England, who died in 1867. Nine children were born to them, five of whom survived them, one being Rev. J. S. Breckinridge, D.D., of the New York East Conference. In 1871 he married Mrs. Luna N. Hall, of New Berlin, N.Y., who survived him until May 19, 1895, when he passed away, at Burlington, N.Y. He was buried in Binghamton, N.Y.
