New York: Eaton & Mains, 1904, pages 310-311. ________________________________________________ Correll, John M., Ph.M., was born in 1856 in Hamburg, Berks County, Pa. In his younger days he learned the trade of brickmaker, and in later years he spent some time as clerk in a clothing house. He is a graduate of Dickinson College, receiving on graduation the degree of Ph.B., and later A.M. from the same school. He has also received the degree of Ph.M. from McKendree College. He was converted when sixteen years of age, in a revival service held in the Methodist Episcopal Church of Hamburg, Pa. In 1887 he joined the Nebraska Conference, receiving deacon's orders at the same session of Conference. In 1893 he was transferred to Wyoming Conference. He received elder's orders at Binghamton in 1896. On November 22, 1886, he married Miss Kate B. Lookingbill, of St. Clair, Schuylkill County, Pa. In the spring of 1902 failing health compelled him to retire from active work.
