New York: Eaton & Mains, 1904, pages 364-365. ________________________________________________ Martin, Edward A., was born on December 6, 1870, in Devonshire, England, and came to the United States in 1887. He was converted in 1886, and at once joined the Bible Christian Church and did some preaching therein before coming to America. Shortly after coming to this country he joined the Methodist Episcopal Church. He is a graduate of Wyoming Seminary and Syracuse University. His brother, Thomas A., is a member of the Philadelphia Conference. During his course of study in Syracuse he supplied the Congregational Church at Mexico, N.Y., where he became acquainted with Miss Eva L. Miller, whom he married on July 26, 1899. He joined Wyoming Conference in 1899, and has served Apalachin charge from 1899 to 1901; and Mehoopany charge from 1902 to 1903.
