He attended district school at North Afton, the high school at Afton, and is a graduate of Wyoming Seminary and Drew Theological Seminary. He was converted at twelve years of age. On March 3, 1892, he married Miss Gertrude Russell, of Russell Hill, in Sanford township, N.Y. He joined Wyoming Conference in 1892. His pastorates are as follows: 1892-94, East Worcester; 1895-96, Laurens; 1897-1900, Fly Creek; 1901- 02, Morris; 1903, Gilbertsville.
