New York: Eaton & Mains, 1904, page 435. ________________________________________________ Williams, Arthur Orvis, was born on February 24, 1868, in Council Grove, Morris County, Kan., and is the son of Rev. G. L. Williams, of this Conference. He attended Wyoming Seminary one year, Delaware Literary Institute, at Franklin, N.Y., four years, graduating in 1890, and Drew Theological Seminary three years, graduating in 1896. He joined the Conference in 1892, receiving deacon's orders in 1897 and elder's orders in 1899. On June 30, 1897, he married Miss Harriet M. Blakeslee, of Blakeslee, Monroe County, Pa. His pastoral record is as follows: 1892-93, Randolph; 1894-95, at school; 1896-97, Stoddartsville; 1898-1900, Clifford; 1901-02, Bethany; 1903, Sterling.
