  2. An act for the relief of THOMAS MILLIKEN and JESSE M'QUAID,
  That the commissioners of the county of Perry are hereby authorized to settle
  and adjust the accounts of Thomas Milliken and Jesse M'Quaid, for building a
  bridge over the mouth of Sherman's creek, and submit the same to the court of
  Quarter sessions for their approbation and to pay the balance due to Thomas
  and Jesse out of the funds of the county.   11 Dec 1833.

  6. An act to authorize the Orphans Court of Dauphin county, to appoint
  WILLIAM AYRES, of Dauphin county, trustee of MRS. MARY ELIZABETH AYRES, and
  her children,
  The Orphans court upon application, are hereby authorized to appoint William
  Ayres trustee of Mary Elizabeth Ayres, and her children, with full powers to
  vest moneys in such property as he may think advantageous to their benefit in
  room of CONRAD BUCHER, who has declined to act.  14 Jan 1834.

  8. An act for the relief of GEORGE HOOD, JOHN SPERING, JOHN ULRICH, and
  VLAENTINE STOBER, soldiers, and MARGARET LOEB, the widow of a revolutionary
  soldier,
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to George Hood of the
  city of Philadelphia, to John Spering of Philadelphia county, to John Ulrich
  of Berks county, and to Valentine Stober of Centre county, soldiers of the
  revolutionary war, forty dollars to each immediately, and an annuity of forty
  dollars to each, payable half yearly during life, to commence on the 1 Jan
  1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Margaret Loeb, of Lebanon
  county, the widow of a revolutionary soldier, forty dollars immediately, and
  an annuity of forty dollars during life, payable half yearly, to commence on
  1 Jan 1834.  17 Jan 1834. 

  11. An act authorizing the sale of the real estate of SAMUEL MELLICK late of
  Northampton county, deceased,
  That JESSE M. HOWELL and JEFFERSON K. HECKMAN, executors of the last will and
  testament of Samuel Mellick, late of Williams Twp. Northampton county, dec.
  are hereby authorized to sell the real estate situated in the aforesaid
  township, and to convey the same to the purchaser.   17 Jan 1834. 

  13. A Supplement incorporating the Philadelphia Contributionship for the
  Insurance of Houses from Loss by Fire.
  It shall be lawful to hold and convey a lot situate on the south side of Race
  Street and the east side of Schuylkill Second street, mortgaged to them by
  AUSTIN MATTHEW, and purchased at the sheriff's sale in the names of ZACHARIAH
  POULSON, JOSHUA LONGSTRETH, and ZACCHEUS COLLINS in trust, and also a lot
  adjoining the same, purchased in the names of the trustees from the estate of
  BENJAMIN WARNER, dec. and JOSEPH WARNER. and the real estate shall be held in
  trust for the corporation.  21 Jan 1834

  14. An act to authorize the trustees of the Associate Presbyterian or
  Secession congregation of Mercer, to execute a deed to JAMES MAGOFFIN JR.,
  for two lots of ground in the borough of Mercer,
  That JAMES MOREHEAD, JAMES MAGOFFIN JR., SAMUEL THOMPSON, LIVINGSTON CARMAN
  and DAVID GARVIN, all of the county of Mercer, who hold in trust two lots of
  ground in the borough of Mercer, for the Associate Presbyterian or secession
  congregation of Mercer, are hereby authorized to make and execute to Doctor
  James Magoffin Jr. a deed
  for the said two lots numbered in the general draft #43 and #44, bounded by
  lots of BENJAMIN HEARTLY, providing he pays the full amount of the purchase
  money.   23 Jan 1834.

  15. An act for the relief of PETER GERHART, HENRY SNYDER, AND JOHN WILFONG,
  soldiers, and CATHARINE NUNGESSER, CATHARINE CURRY and BARBARA STAHLE, the
  widows of revolutionary soldiers, 
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Peter Gerhart of
  Columbia county, Henry Snyder of Adams county, and John Wilfong of Montgomery
  county, soldiers of the revolution, forty dollars to each immediately, and an
  annuity of forty dollars to each during life, payable half yearly, to
  commence on 1 Jan 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Catharine Nungesser of
  Columbia county, Catharine Curry of Allegheny county, and Barbara Stahle of
  Lancaster county, the widows of revolutionary soldiers, forty dollars to each
  immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars to each during life, payable half
  yearly, to commence on 1 Jan 1834.   23 Jan 1834.

  16. An act making an appropriation for the repair of the Pittsburg and Butler
  turnpike road.
  That the sum of $2500.00 is hereby appropriated to be paid to THOMAS H.
  STEWART and WILLIAM PEEBLES, on warrants drawn on the Treasurer of this
  commonwealth, and shall be expended by them in repairing that part of the
  Pittsburg and Butler turnpike road, lying between Pine creek and the
  Allegheny bridge, in Allegheny county, they being paid $1.00 per day.   27 Jan 1834.

  17. An act to incorporate and endow the Pennsylvania Institution for the
  instruction of the blind.
  The officers now in place:  the Governor of the State, patron, WILLIAM WHITE
  D.D., president, PETER S. DUPONCEAU, ROBERTS VAUX, WILLIAM Y. BIRCH and
  EDWARD COLEMAN, vice-presidents, JOHN VAUGHAN, treasurer, JOSHUA FRANCIS
  FISHER, corresponding secretary, JACOB SNIDER JR., recording secretary,
  PHILIP SYNG PHYSICK, M.D., consulting physician, WILLIAM GIBSON M.D., and
  CASPAR MORRIS M.D., visiting physicians, and NATHAN DUNN, JOSHUA LIPPINCOTT,
  J.K. MITCHELL M.D., RICHARD PRICE, ALFRED ELWIN, JOHN A. BROWN, ROBERT
  MAXWELL, A.D. BACHE, C.D. MEIGS M.D., B.W. RICHARDS, JOHN MILLER JR., and
  JOHN U. FRALEY, managers, until the election in March next. 27 Jan 1834. 

  21. An act entitled, An act to authorize SAMUEL LANDIS, guardian of SUSANNA
  MARKLY, and JOHN MARKLY JR., and JOHN EICHHOLTZ, guardian of ANN MARKLY,
  DANIEL MARKLY, MARY MARKLY, HENRY MARKLY and SOLOMON MARKLY, minor children
  of JOHN MARKLY, dec., and devisees in the will of their grandfather, Daniel
  Markly, dec. late of Lancaster county, are hereby authorized to sell and
  convey and release on behalf of their respective wards, all the right, title
  in the real estate devised to them by their grandfather in his will.   30 Jan 1834. 

  22. An act for the relief of sundry soldiers and widows of soldiers of the
  revolutionary war,
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to WILLIAM LONG of
  Delaware county, and to JACOB HAMMER, of Lancaster county, soldiers of the
  revolutionary war, forty dollars each immediately, and an annuity of forty
  dollars each during life, to commence on 1 Jan 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to ARCHIBALD DERRAH of Bucks
  county, forty dollars as a gratuity and in full for his revolutionary services.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to NANCY MAYBURRY, of
  Montgomery county, widow of JOSEPH MAYBURRY, and to MARY MCILHATTAN of
  Lancaster county, widow of SAMUEL MCILHATTAN, soldiers of the revolutionary
  war, forty dollars each immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars each
  during life, to commence on 1 Jan 1834.   30 Jan 1834.

  23. An act to incorporate a company to make a turnpike road from Bethany, to
  intersect the Charksville and Honesdale turnpike, near BENJAMIN JENKINS' in
  Canaan township.
  That NATHANIEL B. ELDRED, HIRAM G. CHASE, Benjamin Jenkins, JOHN BELKNAP, and
  HENRY JENNINGS, are hereby appointed commissioners.   1 Feb 1834.

  24. An act for the relief of ANDREW WALLACE, a soldier of the revolutionary war,
  That the officers of the Land Office are hereby authorized to issue to Andrew
  Wallace, of Chester county, a soldier of the war of the revolution, in
  consideration of his services in the war, and of his present advanced age, on
  his producing to them the usual documents and evidence of title, a patent for
  a certain tract of land on which he now resides, in Lower Oxford Twp.,
  Chester county, containing 100 1/2 acres, free from any charge for arrears of
  purchase money to the Commonwealth or fees of office.   1 Feb 1834.

  25. An act for the relief of JOHN SPARRY, ISAAC SULLENDER, JAMES HOGGE and
  CONRAD SCHLAGLE, soldiers of the revolutionary war,
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to John Sparry of
  Montgomery county, Isaac Sullender of Delaware county, James Hogge of Bucks
  county, and to Conrad Schlagle of Northampton county, soldiers of the
  revolution, forty dollars to each immediately, and an annuity of forty
  dollars to each during life, payable half yearly, to commence 1 Jan 1834.
  1 Feb 1834. 

  27. An act to incorporate the Yardleyvill Delaware Bridge Company.
  JAMES WORTH, LEWIS S. CORYELL, JOLLY LONGSHORE, MICHAEL H. JENKS, THOMAS
  JONNY, COURTLAND YARDLEY and THEORDORE MORRIS, are hereby appointed
  commissioners of this state, who with the commissioners appointed by New
  Jersey, to erect a bridge over the river Delaware.  6 Feb 1834.

  31. An act to authorize the Appraisers of Damages on the Pennsylvania Canal
  to settle and adjust the claim of damages of ANDREW BOGGS,
  It is the duty of the appraisers of damages on the Pa. canal to ascertain the
  amount of damage done to Andrew Boggs, in the carrying away and destruction of
  his salt on the Kiskiminetas river, by the freshet of the month of Feb. 1832
  and if the loss was occasioned by the existence of the dams in said river and
  report damages to be paid not to exceed $15,000.00.    11 Feb 1834 

  32. An act for the relief of sundry soldiers and a widow of a soldier of the
  revolution,
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay unto JACOB SPARE and EDWARD
  ROBERTS, of Montgomery county, soldiers of the revolutionary war, the sum of
  forty dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars, payable half
  yearly, during life, to commence on the 1 Jan 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay unto ALEXANDER WRIGHT of
  Mercer county, the sum of forty dollars immediately, as a compensation for
  his revolutionary services.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay unto JANE READ of Chester
  county, the sum of forty dollars, immediately, in full of all claims.
  11 Feb 1834. 

  33. An act to incorporate the Dingman's Choice and Delaware Bridge Company.
  JACOB WESTBROOK, DANIEL W. DINGMAN, WILLIAM OVERFIELD and GARRET BRODHEAD
  JR., are hereby appointed commissioners of this state, who with the
  commissioners of New Jersey shall be authorized to build a bridge over the
  river Delaware at _____ DINGMAN's ferry, in Pike county.  11 Feb 1834. 

  34. An act to relinquish the title of this Commonwealth to certain real
  estate in Darby Twp. Delaware county, lately held by JOSEPH WOOD, and to vest
  the same in his widow, RACHEL WOOD,
  That the right, title, and interest of this commonwealth in a certain piece
  of land containing 60 acres, situate in Darby Twp. in the county of Delaware,
  and bounded by lands of the heirs of NATHANIEL NEWLIN, dec., the lands of
  ISAAC BARTRAM and others, late the property of Joseph Wood and the same is
  forever  remised and released to Rachel Wood, widow of Joseph Wood.  11 Feb 1834

  35. An act to incorporate the borough of Marietta, in the county of Lancaster.
  That the towns of Waterford and New Haven, shall continue and remain a
  borough of Marietta, beginning at the river Susquehanna, extending along
  the  lands of JAMES ANDERSON and the late SAMUEL EVANS, dec., thence along
  the lands of James Anderson, ANTHONY HAINES, DAVID COOKE and HENRY CASSEL, to
  the river Susquehanna at corner of lands of Henry Cassel and CHRISTIAN HUSHEY,
  to the place of beginning.   15 Feb 1834.
  
  36. An act granting ANDREW DENNIS compensation for a tract of donation land,
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Andrew Dennis, of the
  state of Ohio, a soldier of the revolutionary war, $200.00 as compensation in
  full for a tract of donation land, to which he was entitled for his
  revolutionary services.  15 Feb 1834.

  39. An act for the relief of GEORGE HESS, ROBERT PELING, and NICHOLAS
  NEYFANG, soldiers of the revolutionary war,
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to George Hess of
  Lebanon county, and to Robert Peling of York county, soldiers of the
  revolutionary war, forty dollars to each immediately, and an annuity to each
  of forty dollars during life, payable half yearly, to commence on the 1 Jan 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Nicholas Neyfang of
  Schuylkill county, a soldier of the revolution, a gratuity of forty dollars,
  in full for his revolutionary services.  18 Feb 1834.

  40. An act for the relief of HENRY CRISTMAN, GEORGE RUCKLE, NATHAN JAMES, and
  ROBERT WRIGHT, soldiers, and AGNES, BECK, the widow of a revolutionary soldier,
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Henry Cristman and
  George Ruckle of Northampton county, Nathan James of Bucks county, and Robert
  Wright of Cumberland county, soldiers of the revolution, forty dollars to each
  immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars to each during life, payable half
  yearly, to commence on 1 Jan 1834. 

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Agnes Beck of York county,
  the widow of a revolutionary soldier, forty dollars immediately, and an
  annuity of forty dollars during life, payable half yearly, to commence on 1
  Jan 1834.   18 Feb 1834. 

  41. An act to authorize the Trustees of the First Presbyterian congregation
  in the city of Philadelphia, to sell certain real estate.
  Whereas, WILLIAM ALLISON, and GRACE ALLISON, his wife, by indenture, dated 18
  Jul 1782, recorded Philadelphia, deed book #6, page 187, granted and conveyed
  unto JOHN CALDWELL, JOHN BLEAKLEY, WILLIAM EWING, SAMUEL BRYAN, and William
  Allison, a brick messuage and lot of ground, situate on the west side of
  Third st. from Delaware, between Spruce and Walnut sts., in the city of
  Philadelphia, in trust, for the congregation of the First Presbyterian
  Church.  18 Feb 1834. 

  42. An act for the relief of sundry soldiers and widows of soldiers of the
  revolutionary war,
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to WILLIAM WOOD, ABRAHAM
  SEBOLT and DILLMAN DAUB, of Lebanon county, GRIFFITH SMITH, ADAM HAMSHER and
  FREDERICK BRUNER of Montgomery county, JOHN ULRICH, (paper maker) of the
  borough of Reading, in the county of Berks, JAMES BEAN of Philadelphia
  county, EDWARD GREENAMOYER, of Northampton county, ANDREW HERGERER and JACOB
  SCHWENK of Columbia county, JEHU LEWIS of Bucks county, JACOB LAMBERT and
  PETER LEININGER of Berks county, soldiers of the revolution, forty dollars
  immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars to each during life, payable
  half yearly, to commence on 1 Jan 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to JACOB SINGLE, of Columbia
  county, a soldier, EVE POHE and EVE MARIA STAHLER, the widows of
  revolutionary soldiers, a gratuity of forty dollars each.  18 Feb 1834.

  43. An act for the relief of soldiers and the widows of revolutionary
  soldiers,
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to JACOB SMITH and HENRY
  SYLVIOUS of Northampton county, SIMON FOLK of Cumberland county, JAMES
  M'GREGOR of Mifflin county, PETER SMITH of Lancaster county, ANDREW
  HEINTZELMAN of Adams county, WILLIAM JINKINSON of Westmoreland county, HENRY
  YOUNG of the city of Philadelphia, and GEORGE BAILEY and DAVID WALTAMYER of
  York county, soldiers of the revolution, forty dollars to each immediately,
  and an annuity of forty dollars to each during life, payable half yearly, to
  commence on 1 Jan 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to NANCY STRICKLER and SUSAN
  RUPP of York county, the widows of revolutionary soldiers, forty dollars each
  immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars to each during life, payable half
  yearly, to commence on 1 Jan 1834.  18 Feb 1834.

  44. An act incorporating the town of Lawrenceville into a borough.
  In the county of Allegheny, the town of Lawrenceville is erected into a
  borough bounded beginning at a large soft maple tree in front of SAMUEL
  ENULT's land, where the township road strikes the Allegheny river, ---- and
  thence to a post at the foot of ____ WAINWRIGHT's island, to the place of
  beginning.

  46. An act for the relief of MARTIN MILLER and others, soldiers of the
  revolutionary war,
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Martin Miller of
  Berks county, JACOB KRIDER of Philadelphia county, JOHN BRINKERHOOF of Adams
  county, and PHILIP LENHART of Cumberland county, forty dollars each
  immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars, payable half yearly, during
  life, to commence on 1 Mar 1834. 
 
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay JONATHAN CLIFT and JACOB OTT
  of Philadelphia county, forty dollars each, as a gratuity in full for their
  revolutionary services.   18 Feb 1834.

  47. A Supplement to an act to incorporate the Strasburg railroad, etc.
  That JOHN JARDON, HEZEKIAH BUZBY, HENRY WITMER and CORNELIUS S. SMITH, of
  Philadelphia, WILLIAM COOPER, JOHN LATSHAW and WILLIAM FRICK of Lancaster,
  OKEY HENDRICKSON, WILLIAM D. SLAYMAKER, JAMES LAIRD, SAMUEL S. PATTERSON,
  CHRISTIAN HERSHEY and DOCTOR SIMON MEREDITH of Mountjoy, GEORGE WISLER SEN.,
  PHILIP ALBERT SEN., GEORGE REDSECKER JR., ADAMS CAMPBEL, ANDREW WADE ESQ.,
  and JACOB GISH of Elizabethtown, JACOB M. HALDERMAN, HENRY WALTERS, MICHAEL
  BURKE and HENRY BUEHLER of Harrisburg, are hereby appointed commissioners in
  addition to those already appointed in relation to the Portsmouth and
  Lancaster railroad.  18 Feb 1834.

  48. An act for the relief of JAMES HUSTON and others, soldiers of the
  revolutionary war,
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to James Huston of
  Washington county, forty dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty
  dollars, payable half yearly, to commence on 1 Jan 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay JACOB GHER of Crawford
  county, and to WILLIAM ABLE of Montgomery county, forty dollars each as a
  gratuity, and in full for their revolutionary services.   21 Feb 1834. 

  53. An act for the improvement of the borough of Norristown, in the county of
  Montgomery.
  That ALLAN W. CORSON, EVAN JONES, GENERAL HENRY SCHEETS, and GEORGE RICHARDS
  ESQ., are hereby appointed commissioners to lay out any additional streets
  deemed necessary, and to widen out any existing streets.  24 Feb 1834.

  55. An act to erect the town of North East, in the county of Erie, into a borough.
  The borough is bounded: by lands of the WIDOW PHILIPS and DYER LOOMIS, ect.

  57. An act for the relief of sundry soldiers and widows of soldiers of the
  revolutionary war,
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to JAMES M'SORLEY of
  Westmoreland county, PETER MAYER and JOHN SHITZ of Dauphin county, WILLIAM
  WESNER of Berks county, and RICHARD BROWN of Adams county, each forty dollars
  immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars each, during life, payable half
  yearly, to commence on 1 Mar 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to ANN LITTLE of Adams
  county, forty dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars payable
  half yearly, during life, to commence on the 1 Mar 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to MARIA KELCHNER, widow of
  MATTHIAS KELCHNER, a revolutionary soldier late of Berks county, ten dollars
  annually, in addition to the annuity of thirty dollars, which was granted to
  her by an act passed 27 Mar 1819.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to ROBERT BARCLAY of
  Cumberland county, forty dollars as a gratuity and in full for his
  revolutionary services.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to MICHAEL LONG  of
  Philadelphia, and JOHN SMITH of the city of Baltimore, revolutionary
  soldiers, a gratuity of forty dollars to each immediately.  27 Feb 1834. 

  58. An act for the establishment of a College at Bristol, in the county of Bucks.
  There shall be erected Bristol College and the trustees are: CORNELIUS
  STEVENSON, THOMAS MITCHELL, JACOB LEX, THOMAS G. KENNEDY, JOHN C. PECHIN,
  DAVID SCOTT, CROMWELL PEARCE, WILLIAM WATSON, MICHAEL H. JENKS, ISRAEL
  KINSMAN, LEWIS R. ASHHURST, JOHN W. DOWNING, ANDREW D. CASH, GREGORY T.
  BEDELL, JOHN FARR, STEPHEN H. TYNG, FREDERICK W. PORTER, LEVI BULL, CHAUNCEY
  COLTON, WILLIAM T. ROGERS, SAMUEL D. INGHAM, JOHN FOX, JOSEPH MATHIAS, JAMES
  WORTH, JOHN PHILIPS, JOHN MCELROY, LEWIS S. CORYELL, and WILLIAM PURDY, are
  hereby declared to be a body politic and corporate.  27 Feb 1834.

  59. An act to incorporate the Lumbermen's Bank at Warren.
  That ROBERT FALCONER, JOSIAH HALL, ROBERT RUSSELL, GUY C. IRVINE, ARCHIBALD
  TANNER and ROBERT MILES of Warren county, are hereby appointed
  commissioners.  28 Feb 1834.

  60. An act incorporating the Port Carbon Saving Fund society.
  Whereas a number of the citizens of the county of Schuylkill, town of Port
  Carbon have associated for the purpose of forming a saving fund society. 
  Therefore, WILLIAM LAWTON, LEBBEUS WHITNEY, WILLIAM BOSBYSHELL, JEREMIAH J.
  FOSTER, AQUILLA BOLTON, HENRY PORTER, MARTIN WEAVER, EDWARD MOORE, EDWARD
  HUGHES, JACOB BULL, JESSE TURNER, JOHN SCHALL, JOHN BANNAH, ABRAHAM HEEBNER,
  E.S. WARNE, GEORGE RAHN and ABRAHAM POTT are hereby erected one body politic
  and corporate.  28 Feb 1834.

  61. An act for the relief of ANN MARY RINEHART, OLIVE FULLINGSBY, CATHARINE
  SCHROEDER, ELEANOR BEAN, and JANE HUTCHINSON, widows of revolutionary
  soldiers,
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Olive Fullingsby and
  Catharine Schroeder of Philadelphia county, forty dollars each immediately,
  and an annuity of forty dollars each, payable half yearly during life, to
  commence on 1 Mar 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Eleanor Bean of Montgomery
  county, Ann Mary Rinehart of Cumberland county, and Jane Hutchinson of Union
  county, forty dollars each, as a gratuity, and in full for the revolutionary
  services of their late husbands.  28 Feb 1834.

  62. An act to enable THOMAS CHAMBERS, administrator de bonis non, with the
  will annexed of the honorable THOMAS DUNCAN, dec. and FREDERICK WATTS,
  guardian of the minor children of ROBERT C. DUNCAN, dec. to carry into full
  effect a certain compromise, and to authorize the Orphans' Court of
  Westmoreland county to appoint a guardian for PAUL TROUT.
  Whereas REBECCA H. DUNCAN, widow of Robert C. Duncan, dec. and Thomas
  Chambers Esq. administrator of the honorable Thomas Duncan dec. and Frederick
  Watts Esq. guardian of THOMAS DUNCAN JR. and BENJAMIN S. DUNCAN, minor
  children of Robert C. Duncan dec. have presented their petition stating that
  controversies have existed between the parties in relation to certain
  property and were desirous of compromise. 
  Therefore, Thomas Chambers, administrator, is hereby authorized to execute
  and deliver to Rebecca H. Duncan, widow, and to the minor children of Robert
  C. Duncan, dec. a deed to convey to Rebecca and the minor children such
  estates and interests in a certain island at the junction of the Susquehanna
  and Juniata rivers, called Reed's island, on which Rebecca now resides.
  The said Frederick Watts, as guardian of Thomas Duncan Jr. and Benjamin S.
  Duncan, minor children, is hereby authorized to execute and deliver to Thomas
  Chambers, a deed to convey to Thomas Chambers to be held by him in trust for
  the purposes in the last will and testament of the honorable Thomas Duncan,
  dec. all the right, title, interest and claim of the minor children to two
  tracts of land, described as: One in Newton twp., Cumberland county,
  containing 250 acres bought from SAMUEL CALWELL, and a tract of about 400
  acres bought from NICHOLAS WALL, in Southampton Twp., and to do any act that
  may be necessary by Frederick Watts, guardian, to carry into full effect the
  compromise.

  Whereas THOMAS HANNA, executor of the last will and testament of CATHARINE
  TROUT, late of the township of East Huntingdon, Westmoreland county, dec. has
  represented that Paul Trout, a son and legatee of Catharine is deaf and dumb,
  and by reason of that infirmity incapable of managing his property, and he is
  above the age of twenty one.
  Therefore the Orphans Court is authorized to appoint Thomas Hanna or next
  friend as guardian with the same rights and duties as if he was a minor under
  the law until Paul Trout has become capable of taking care of his person and

  66. An act to incorporate the Norristown Insurance company of Montgomery county.

  RICHARDS, JOHN FREEDLEY, GEORGE H. PAWLING, PHILIP REED, WILLIAM MINTZER,
  GENERAL HENRY SCHEETZ, JOHN HUNSICKER, DR. JAMES ANDERSON, JOHN STEVENS,
  HENRY LONGACRE, GEORGE W. HOLSTEIN, CHARLES JONES, and MATTHEW ROBERTS, are
  hereby appointed commissioners.  11 Mar 1834.

  73. An act for the relief of JAMES MCANULTY,
  Whereas James McAnulty of Green Twp. Franklin county, one of the supervisors
  of the township in 1827 is due the sum of $243.97 and has never been paid, it
  shall be the duty of the supervisors elected for the year 1834, Green Twp.
  Franklin County to assess and collect and pay James McAnulty, such sums as
  appear due him with lawful interest.   18 Mar 1834.

  74. An act granting compensation to MARTHA LEVI ADAMS, for a tract of
  donation land,
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Martha Levi Adams of the
  city of Philadelphia, daughter of Lieutenant JAMES MORRIS JONES, dec. $400.00
  in full compensation for a tract of donation land which her late father was
  entitled for revolutionary services.  18 Mar 1834.

  75. An act to incorporate the Wissahickon turnpike road company.
  That JOHN B. STERIGERE, JESSE R. BURDEN, JOSEPH LIVEZEY, GEORGE W. SMICK,
  ELIHU CHAUNCEY, CHARLES ROBERTS, JACOB B. JONES, DANIEL J. THOMAS, ARCHIBALD
  RANDALL, WILLIAM RUNKLE, DANL. SNYDER, JOS. HERGESHEIMER and WILLIAM O.
  KLINE, are hereby appointed commissioners, to mark and fix the route
  commencing at the Germantown and Perkiomen turnpike road, between
  Philadelphia and Montgomery counties, to the Wissahickon creek, along the
  west bank to ENOCH RITTENHOUSE's mill, across the creek, thence along the
  east bank of the creek to PETER ROBISON's Mill.  18 Mar 1834.

  76. An act authorizing the guardians and trustees of WILLIAM SHNYDER to grant
  and convey land,
  That PETER SHNYDER and AARON SHNYDER, guardians and trustees of William
  Shnyder, of Northampton county, who has been declared a habitual drunkard,
  are hereby authorized  to convey to the trustees of La Fayette college, a lot
  of ground, situated on the north side of Bushkiln creek, in the borough of
  Easton, Northampton county, about 4 acres, under the terms ofthe agreement
  entered into 28 May 1833 between the guardians and the trustees, with the
  assent of William Shnyder as it is deemed advantageous to the estate of
  William Shnyder to depose of it, interest to be paid during his lifetime, and
  the principal shall be paid at his decease or restoration to habitual
  sobriety.   18 Mar 1834.

  78. An act to authorize the corporation of Saint Martin's church, Marcus
  Hook, to sell certain real estate, and for other purposes.
  That the corporation of Saint Martin's church, of Marcus Hook, Delaware
  county, are hereby authorized to sell and convey a dwelling house and lot,
  devised to the church by a certain LYDIA EBRITE, and proceeds invested to
  produce annual rent to be applied as the will of Lydia Ebrite authorized to
  apply.

  The Auditor General is authorized to sell the bill of costs accrued in an
  inquisition of escheat, taken by WILLIAM DARLINGTON ESQ., of Chester county,
  in the case of JOHN DOYLE, dec., arising out of the said inquest.

  JOHN ECKMAN, who has been duly appointed guardian of ELIZABETH ECKMAN, JOHN
  ADAM ECKMAN and BALTZER ECKMAN, three minor children of the said John Eckman,
  is hereby authorized during their minority to sell all the undivided interest
  of the minors in a certain real estate, situate in the county of Lancaster,
  being part of the estate of BALTZER BERGMAN of Lancaster county, dec., as if
  the minors were of full age.

  JAMES KELTON, surviving administrator to the estate of SAMUEL COCHRANE, dec.,
  late of the township of West Fallowfield, Chester county, is hereby authorized
  to sell the real estate of the deceased, situate in the counties of
  Clearfield, Crawford, Erie, Tioga, and Mercer, in the Commonwealth of Pa. and
  to convey the same, to the purchasers.

  All rights and title which the Commonwealth of Pa. may have acquired by
  reason of escheat, for the want of heirs or kindred of ROBERT SCOTT, late of
  the borough of Shippensburg, Cumberland county, dec., in real and personal
  estate, is hereby granted and vested in MARGARET MCELREEVEY and FREDERICK
  SCOTT, natural mother and brother of Robert Scott, and heirs of ANDREW SCOTT,
  dec., taking and holding one share, and the said Margaret and Frederick, one
  share each.

  ADAM REIGART, of the city of Lancaster, guardian of ADAM REIGART HOPKINS,
  EMILY W. HOPKINS, and HORACE HOPKINS, minor children of GEORGE R. HOPKINS and
  ANNE HOPKINS, his wife, late of the county of Lancaster, dec., is hereby
  authorized to sell and convey the one undivided sixth part of two lots of
  ground in the city of Philadelphia, by right of their mother, Anne Hopkins,
  under the will of their great grandfather PHILIP WAGER, dec. and he shall
  have full power to execute a deed to the purchaser.

  HENRY Y. SLAYMAKER, of York county, guardian of MARY R. SLAYMAKER, ANNE C.
  SLAYMAKER, and  HENRIETTA E.R. SLAYMAKER, minor children of the said Henry Y.
  Slaymaker and of MARGARET SLAYMAKER, his wife, now deceased, is hereby
  authorized to sell and convey the one undivided sixth part of two lots in the
  city of Philadelphia, which they are entitled to in right of their mother,
  Margaret Slaymaker, dec. devisee of her grandfather PHILIP WAGER, dec. and he
  shall have full power to execute a deed to the purchaser.

  The executors of the estate of JOHN BROOKS, late of the county of Crawford,
  dec. and the administrators of the estate of WILLIAM MCARTHUR, late of the
  same county, dec. are hereby authorized to make partition of a certain tract
  of land, #76, in the eighth district of donation lands, in the said county,
  which said tract of land was held in common in their lives.

  The provisions of the act to enable CATHARINE AUGUSTA NEWBOLD and others,
  administrators of THOMAS NEWBOLD, dec. to sell real estate of the intestate,
  passed 23 Jan 1821, is extended to authorized Catharine Augusta Newbold,
  administratrix, HERMAN LE ROY, CALEB NEWBOLD JR., and HERMAN LE ROY JR.,
  administrators to sell and convey two tracts of land, situate in the counties
  of Bradford and Tioga, #968 and 969, each containing 1094 1/4 acres and to
  execute a deed for the same to the purchaser.

  The mayor, aldermen and citizens of Philadelphia, are hereby authorized to
  grant, sell and convey by deed every part of the lands in Centre county,
  devised to them by the late ELIAS BOUDINOT.

  Whereas, GEORGE ASTON, late of the county of Philadelphia, died 1814, leaving
  a will in writing dated 1813, whereby he bequeathed the free use, and income
  of a plantation situated in Blockley twp., in said county, called Woodside,
  together with all buildings thereon, to his niece ANN WARDER JR., wife of
  JEREMIAH WARDER, for her sole use during her natural life, and on her decease
  to her children, and if no issue, then he bequeathed the plantation to his
  nephew GEORGE ASTON JR., and the children of his sister, MARY MADEIRA, and
  the present holders of the property wish to sell the same.  Therefore, GEORGE
  VAUX and BENJAMIN HEAD WARDER of the city of Philadelphia, are hereby
  authorized to sell the plantation called Woodside, and to make good
  conveyance for the plantation to the purchaser.  The proceeds are to be
  invested in other real estate or security for the purposes mentioned and
  intended in the will, and to descend and pass according to the direction of

  county, Conrad Fry of Berks county, and Martin Short of Allegheny county,
  soldiers of the revolutionary war, forty dollars each immediately, and an
  annuity of forty dollars each payable half yearly, to commence on 1 Mar 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Thomas Abbott of Adams
  county, Gideon Shaw of Bucks county, and Frederick Bodine of Lycoming county,
  forty dollars as a gratuity and in full for their revolutionary services.

  88. An act to authorize EDWARD SITER, JOSHUA EVANS and WILLIAM HARRIS, to
  sell certain real estate of the heirs of THOMAS KENNEDY, dec. and for other
  purposes.
  That Edward Siter of the county of Delaware, Joshua Evans of the county of
  Chester, and Doctor William Harris, now of the city of Philadelphia,
  attorneys of JOHN WYSONG, guardian of the minor children of Thomas Kennedy,
  late of Jefferson county, state of Virginia, dec. and the survivor shall have
  authority to sell and convey to the purchaser the real estate of their
  grandfather ROBERT KENNEDY late of the county of Chester, dec. situate within
  the counties of Chester and Delaware as if the minors were of full age.

  The act of 27 Mar 1827 authorizing HENRY HURST dec. to sell and convey real

  89. An act for improving the navigation of the Susquehanna river.

  for the section of the river lying between the mouth of the Sinnamehoning and

  river lying between the mouth of Clearfield creek and Canoe place, ISAIAH H.

  improving a canal in that part of the Susquehanna from the out-let of the

  90. An act to incorporate the Matson's Ford turnpike road company.

  percentage retained by them, on work done by them, on section 56 of the
  Juniata division of the Pa. canal, not to exceed $110.60.   5 Apr 1834.

  110. An act to erect the town of Elizabeth in the county of Allegheny into a
  borough.
  Bounded: Beginning at the mouth of PHILIP SMITHS' run, to the spring, thence
  a direct course to the house of SAMUEL WALKER, now occupied by DAVID JACOBS,
  thence to the dam of _____ WALKER and _____ CRAIGHEAD's saw mill, on Fallen
  Timber run, along the foot of the hill to the frame house of DOCTOR PENNIMAN,
  to the eastern corner of HUGH FERGAS's meadow lot, thence by the course of
  Fallen Timber run to the Monongahela river, to the place of the beginning. 
  All persons residing within the borough six months are to vote at the tavern
  house belonging to JOHN WALKER, now occupied by JOHN WALDON.  5 Apr 1834.

  116. An act to vest in JAMES BUCHANAN the title to certain real estate in the
  counties of Cumberland and Perry,
  Whereas WILLIAM RAMSEY, late of the county of Cumberland, dec. executed to
  James Buchanan mortgages of certain tracts of land, situate partly in
  Cumberland and partly in Perry counties, to secure the payment of $6000.00
  loaned by James Buchanan to William Ramsey.  Since the death of William
  Ramsey, judgements were obtained against the administrators.  Upon these
  judgements executions were issued, during the absence of James Buchanan upon
  a foreign mission, and it became necessary to secure his debt, to purchase
  for his use the land in mortgage. This was done by THOMAS C. LANE of
  Cumberland county, and to him the sheriff executed deeds poll for the same.
  The purchase money was paid by James Buchanan, through his agent, and Thomas
  C. Lane agreed to convey the land whenever it should be required of him.
  Thomas C. Lane, has since died, without having made said conveyance and the
  sheriffs deeds do not contain any declaration of this trust.  Therefore, the
  title of the following tracts of land: A certain tract, situate in the
  township of North Middleton, Cumberland county, on the North Mountain,
  containing 600 acres, adjoining Perry county line, JACOB HAMMER, JAMES GIVEN,
  JOHN ELLIOT and others, also at tract situate in Rye township, Perry county,
  bounded by JOHN WHITE, SAMUEL ALEXANDER, JACOB SEILER and the Cumberland and
  Perry county lines, containing 800 acres, be vested in James Buchanan.   8 Apr 1834.

  123. An act authorizing LEVI BROWN, JEREMIAH BROWN and SLATER BROWN and
  others, of Lancaster county, to occupy the shore of the river Susquehanna, at
  and near their slate quarries,
  That Levi Brown, Jeremiah Brown, and Slater Brown, are hereby authorized to
  use and occupy the eastern shore of the Susquehanna River as far as their
  lands extend along the same, in Little Britain Twp., Lancaster county for the
  purpose of depositing the rubbish of their slate quarries in the river along
  the shore, provided it does not obstruct navigation of the river.

  JAMES A. CALWELL and JAMES M'SPARRAN, are hereby authorized to use and occupy
  the eastern shore of the Susquehanna river as far as their lands extend along
  the river, in Little Britain Twp., Lancaster county, for the purpose of
  depositing the rubbish of the slate quarry in the river along the shore,
  provided it does not obstruct navigation of the river.

  NICHOLAS BOYD, is hereby authorized to erect wharves on the Susquehanna river
  opposite his land in Little Britain Twp. Lancaster county, between what is
  call the Fall rock and the old stone ferry house, provided he does not
  obstruct navigation on the river.  Nicholas Boyd, is hereby authorized to
  demand, take and receive a reasonable sum for wharfage for all rafts, arks,
  boats or other craft that may come to his wharves, provided the legislature
  reserve the right, if necessary, to fix a rate of wharfage.  9 Apr 1834.

  124. An act to enable the guardians of ANN SHREINER, ELIZA SHREINER and
  CATHARINE HOFFMAN to sell and convey certain real estate, and for other
  purposes,
  That DAVID WEIDLER, guardian of Ann Shreiner, and CHRISTIAN WENGER, guardian
  of Eliza Shreiner, minor children of MICHAEL SHREINER, late of Lancaster
  county, dec. and JOHN BRADY, guardian of Catharine Hoffman, a minor child of
  PHILIP HOFFMAN, late of Lancaster county, dec. are hereby authorized to sell
  and convy all the right, title, and claims of their respective wards in a
  certain tract of land, situate in Newbury Twp., York county, and also part of
  an island, situate in the Susquehanna river, in Upper Swatara Twp. Dauphin
  county, being the real estate devised by the will of PHILIP SHREINER, late of
  Newbury twp., York county, dec. to the fathers of the minors and certain
  others, and to make deeds as if the minors were of full age.

  MATTHEW S. VAN LEAR, of the county of Washington, in the state of Maryland,
  guardian of MARY L. VAN LEAR and SARAH S. VAN LEAR, minor children of WILLIAM
  H. VAN LEAR, dec. is hereby authorized to convey, release and confirm unto
  JOHN HAAS of the county of Mercer, in state of Pa. all the estate of the said
  minors to a tract of land, #65 in the fourth district of donation land, in the
  county aforesaid, containing 500 acres and to demand and receive the purchase
  money.

  GEORGE LEVERS JR. and PETER MESSINGER, trustees of the Forks Twp. school
  house in the county of Northampton, are hereby authorized to sell a lot of
  ground cut off form the main body by a road leading from Easton, which lot
  was conveyed by BARNET WALTER, to MICHAEL BUTZ and JOHN YEAGER, on behalf of
  the Lutheran and Presbyterian congregations of Forks Twp. by deed dated 26
  Oct 1771. The proceeds of the sale shall be used to build a school house on
  the remainder of the lot. Trustees are hereby authorized to sell and convey
  land.  9 Apr 1834.

  125. An act to erect Brookville, Armagh, Shrewsbury and Greenfield into
  boroughs, and to alter the act incorporating the borough of Meadville.
  The borough of Brooksville, in the county of Jefferson, election shall be
  published in newspapers by THOMAS HASTINGS and JARED B. EVANS, ESQS.

  The borough of Meadville, in the county of Crawford, boundaries shall
  continue as before, except the lot of ground, now owned and occupied by
  ASHBEL CLARK, adjoining the east line of the borough.

  The borough of Armagh, in the county of Indiana, with the same boundaries of
  the town, and all electors shall vote at the office of JAMES ELLIOTT ESQ.,
  and James Elliott and THOMAS STEWART ESQS., shall publish notice of election.

  The borough of Shrewsbury in the county of York, shall be bounded: by lands
  of PETER RUHL, ect.

  The borough of Greenfield, in the county of Washington, shall hold their
  elections at the house of JAMES S. BOWLIN.  9 Apr 1834.

  128 A act to erect Ligonier and New Alexandria, in the county of Westmoreland
  into boroughs.
  That the town of Ligonier is hereby erected into a borough, and ROBERT GRAHAM
  AND PETER AURANTS shall publish and superintend the elections.

  The towns of New Alexandria and Denniston'stown, in the county of
  Westmoreland, are hereby erected into a borough, bounded through the lands of
  R.A. ROBISON, through the land of GEORGE MICHEL, thence by land of DAVID
  MCGINLEY, to beginning.  10 Apr 1834.

  129. A act to cede and vest in the United States of America certain premises
  in the county of Philadelphia whereon the United States Naval Asylum is
  erected.
  That all the right and title of this Commonwealth to the territory now in
  possession of the government of the United States, situate in the township of
  Passyunk, Philadelphia county, consisting of two lots, the first from Shippen
  st. and road leading to Gray's ferry, thence by a water lot belonging now to
  JOHN H. BRINTON, GEORGE PEPPER, and EDWARD S. BURD, to land belonging to
  JAMES MOLONY, to road leading to Gray's Ferry, to Shippen st. and east and
  west by land now belonging to John H. Brinton, George Pepper and Edward S.
  Brud, being the same premises which TIMOTHY ABBOTT and wife granted, and
  released to the United States of America by indenture dated 22 Jun 1826, in
  deed book GWR nine, page 606, together with the Naval Asylum for sick and
  disabled seamen erected and all the buildings, are hereby conveyed to the
  United States of America.  10 Apr 1834.

  131. An act to incorporate the Harmony Bridge Company.
  That CHARLES HATCH, LEVI WESTFALL, JOHN COMFORT, NATHAN S. WILLIAMS, and
  JESSE LANE are hereby appointed commissioners for the construction of a
  bridge across the Susquehanna river near Bellemont and Windsor turnpike on
  the east, and the house of Levi Westfall on the west side of the river, below
  the mouth of the Conewacta creek, in the township of Harmony, Susquehanna
  county.  10 Apr 1834.

  132. An act to incorporate the trustees of the Zelienople Academy and burying
  ground in the town of Zelienople, in Butler county, and to revive an act for
  incorporating the Presbyterian congregation of Bensalem, in the county of
  Bucks.
  Whereas, PHILIP L. PASSAVANT and ZELIC PASSAVANT, his wife, of the town of
  Zeliehople, Butler county, by their deed dated 29 Nov 1816, did convey unto
  the inhabitants of the town two separate lots recorded in Book D, pgs. 340
  and 341, the one containing 1 acres and 40 perches, for the use of a burying
  ground for the inhabitants, and the other lot for the use of the inhabitants
  to erect a school house, which deed was executed in favor of CHRISTIAN BUHL
  ESQ., ROBERT VANKIRK and EZRA GROOVNER as trustees.
  That there is hereby established an academy for the education of youth in the
  English and other languages, in the useful arts, sciences and literature, by
  the name of Zelienople Academy and burying ground under the care of JOHN
  LEVES JR., JOHN FLEMING and ALEXANDER HAYS, trustees are hereby declared one
  body politic and corporate.

  The act incorporating the Presbyterian congregation of Bensalem, in Bucks
  county, passed 11 Sep 1786 shall remain in full force forever.
  That JOHN TROUT, DAVID WALTON, JOHN CHESTON, JESSE ROBERTS, LEVI VANDERGRIFT
  and SAMUEL SWIFT be the present board of trustees.  10 Apr 1834. 
   
  133. An act for the relief of JOSEPH ADAMS and ANDREW FREAKER,
  Whereas Joseph Adams and Andrew Frenker, late supervisors of Porter Twp. in
  Huntingdon county, became liable for money expended in making a road across
  Tussey mountain. A judgement has been obtained against them in favor of the
  administrators of JOHN THOMPSON, late of said county, dec. for the sum of
  $468.00 with interest and costs of suit.  It is hereby enacted that the
  supervisors of Walker and Porter Twps. and the street commissioners of the
  borough of Alexandria, are hereby authorized to levy upon and collect from
  the taxable inhabitants of said townships and borough the sum of $468.00 with
  interest and costs and they are authorized to pay the same to Joseph Adams and
  Andrew Freaker so as their accounts are settled.  10 Apr 1834.

  134. An act authorizing the laying out of a state road from the borough of
  Kittanning, Armstrong county, to Brookville in Jefferson county, and
  confirming the location of part of the State road from Franklin to Greenville.
  That JOHN SLOAN JR., ALEXANDER DUNCAN and JAMES CORBET are hereby appointed
  commissioners to lay out a state road.

  That part of the State road from Franklin, in Venango county, to Greenville
  in Mercer county, which lies between the house of ISAAC HOLLOWAY and the
  house of EPHRAIM VORIS, as viewed and located by ADAM CARNAHAN, THOMAS
  COTTLSON and JAMES MCCRACKEN, is hereby confirmed, under the provisions of
  the law under which they were appointed viewers.   10 Apr 1834. 
 
  140. An act to confirm certain deeds made by the executors of ADAM FLECK,
  late of Montgomery county, dec.
  Whereas, Adam Fleck, late of Gwinnedd Twp. Montgomery county, dec. by his
  last will and testament dated 29 Apr 1815, devised to his two sons, DANIEL
  FLECK and JACOB FLECK, two certain tracts of land, situate in said county,
  and the said devisees who are also the executors, after being appraised, have
  refused to take the tracts at the valuation thereof, and it has been agreed
  that the executors should sell the tracts.  They sold the tracts of land 8
  Mar 1821 and deeds executed to JOSEPH KNEEDLER and HENRY HALLMAN, on 29 Mar
  1821. Whereas doubts have arisen as to whether they had authority to agree to
  said sales and deeds, therefore the several deeds made and executed are hereby
  confirmed and made valid.   10 Apr 1834.

  143. An act to incorporate the Pottsville Water company.
  That SAMUEL SILLYMAN, WILLIAM MORTIMORE, JOHN C. OFFERMAN, JOHN C. ERNST,
  BENJAMIN BANNAN, JACOB SEITZINGER ESQ., JAMES M. BEATTY, CHARLES MILLER and
  ANDREW RUSSEL are hereby appointed commissioners to convey into the borough
  of Pottsville, by means of pipes, trunks, aqueducts etc. some spring or
  stream of water, and also provide proper cisterns or reservoirs in the
  streets or public grounds of Schuylkill county.  11 Apr 1834.

  144. An act to incorporate the Pittsburg Savings Institution.
  That HARMAR DENNY, MICHAEL TIERNAN, STEPHEN COLWELL, JOHN MCKEE, WILLIAM BELL
  JR., JOHN D. DAVIS, SYLVANUS LATHORP, JOHN PARTHURS, THOMAS S. CLARK, THOMAS
  BAKEWELL, ALEXANDER LAUGHLIN, JOHN GRAHAM, JAMES ROSS JR., JOHN CALDWELL,
  SAMUEL ROSEBURG, SAMUEL CHURCH, ABISHA WAY, ALEXANDER BRACKENRIDGE, A. HOLMES
  HOGE, GEORGE OGDEN, GABRIEL ADAMS, MALCOLM LEECH, HUGH DAVIS, FREDERICK
  LORENZ, ADAM HAYS, THOMAS HIND, and JAMES R. SPEER hereby created a
  corporation and body politic.   11 Ajpr 1834.

  145. An act to incorporate the Womelsdorf Union Academy.

  147. An act to improve a road from JOHN RIGNER's in Moore twp., Northampton
  county, across the Blue mountain at Smith's Gap, to JOHN SMITH's, Ross twp.,
  Northampton county.
  That the sum of $1500.00 is to be paid to GEORGE SCHLABACH of Upper Nazareth,
  THEOBALD SHEFFER of Moore, and JOHN SMITH of Ross, to improve a road across
  the Blue mountain.   14 Apr 1834

  150. An act authorizing and directing county treasurers to pay gratuities and
  pensions to soldiers and widows of revolutionary soldiers residing within this
  Commonwealth, from and after the first day of June next, in the same manner
  and time as they are now getting paid by the State Treasurer.
  No person shall be permitted to charge or retain any fee or per centage for
  presenting and drawing from the treasurer.  Any person who may be employed by
  any soldier or the widow of a soldier in drawing their pension shall not be
  permitted to demand, retain or receive more then three dollars for his agency.

  151. An act authorizing the Wardens and Vestrymen of Saint James' Protestant
  Episcopal Church, in the borough of Bristol, to sell and convey a certain lot
  of land in said borough.
  That JOHN BESSONETT and ROBERT WRIGHT, wardens, and JOHN PHILIPS, WILLIAM F.
  SWIFT, ELEAZER FENTON, WILLIAM OSMOND, J.M. HIBBS, and H.N. BOSTWICK,
  vestrymen of Saint James' Church in the borough of Bristol are hereby
  authorized to grant and sell a lot situate on the western side of Mill
  street, bounded by lands of the estate of late ISAAC PEACE and JOHN JOHNSON,
  and are hereby authorized to execute a deed to the purchaser.   14 Apr 1834. 

  152. An act to authorize the guardians of the minor children of HENRY IRWIN,
  dec. to convey certain real estate,
  That the guardians of the minor children of Henry Irwin, dec. are hereby
  authorized to release and convey to the purchaser at sheriff's sale, lots,
  herein described, late the estate of JOHN IRWIN dec. in the city of
  Pittsburg, one in Wood's plan bounded by Penn St. by Barker alley, and the
  Allegheny river on which are erected a double frame dwelling house and other
  buildings, the other, being the undivided moiety of lot #189 in Wood's plan
  bounded by Water St. on which a two story log dwelling is erected.  as if the
  minors were of age with the approval of the court of Dauphin County. That an
  acknowledgment of the said release before the mayor of the city of Baltimore
  and shall be the same to be recorded in the county of Allegheny in this

  soldiers,

  county, JAMES IRWIN of Franklin county, SAMUEL WILSON of Fayette county, HENRY
  HORTENDORF, JOHN BAKER and MICHAEL REILEY of York county, soldiers of the
  revolution, forty dollars to each immediately, and an annuity of forty
  dollars to each during life, to be paid half yearly, to commence on 1 Jan 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized and required to pay to ELIZABETH
  MADERA and ANN MARIA WITMAN of Berks county, and ELIZABETH BOUGH of Lancaster
  county, the widows of revolutionary soldiers, forty dollars to each
  immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars to each during life, payable
  half yearly, to commence on 1 Jan 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to JOHN GRAVEL of Montgomery
  county, JOHN MYERS of Perry county, JACOB HEFFLEBOWER of Lancaster county,
  and DAVID LIKENS of Delaware county, soldiers of the revolutionary war, a

  156. An act for the relief of sundry soldiers and widows of soldiers of the
  revolutionary war,

  forty dollars each during life, payable half yearly to commence on 1 Mar 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to DOROTHY YOUSE, widow of
  JOHN YOUSE, late of Berks county, and BEDY SHILLING, widow of PRYDOX
  BLACKSTONE, late of Mercer county, each forty dollars immediately, and an
  annuity of forty dollars each during life, payable half yearly to commence on
  1 Mar 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to EMANUEL ZEIGLER of Adams
  county, and MARGARET ARMSTRONG, widow of GEORGE CLARK, late of Cumberland
  county, forty dollars each immediately, as a gratuity and compensation in
  full for revolutionary services.

  Lancaster county, ANDREW KALB of Montgomery county, and JOHN HULME of Dauphin
  county, forty dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars each during

  MOYER of Philadelphia county, MAGDALENA HART of Tioga county, and AGNES SMITH
  of York county, forty dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars
  each during life, payable half yearly to commence on 1 Mar 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay LUDWIG BENDER of Montgomery
  county, or to his order forty dollars, immediately in full for his
  revolutionary service.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to JOHN MITCHELL of Mifflin
  county, GEORGE FRANK of the District of Columbia, CHRISTIAN  KLINDINST of
  York county, and JACOB KEISER of Northampton county, soldiers of the
  revolutionary war, forty dollars to each immediately and an annuity of forty
  dollars during life, payable half yearly to commence on 1 Jan 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to REBECCA CALAHAN of
  Lycoming county, MARGARET FRANKENBERG of Fayette county, widows of
  revolutionary soldiers, forty dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty
  dollars during life, payable half yearly to commence on 1 Jan 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to JOHN KOCH of York county,
  and DANIEL KAUTZ of Perry county, soldiers of the revolutionary war, a
  gratuity of forty dollars each.  14 Apr 1834.

  157. An act to incorporate the president, managers and company of the Butler
  and Freeport Turnpike road company.

  CAMPBELL, JOHN NEGLEY, WILLIAM BEATTY, JACOB BRINKER, PETER DUFFY, FRANCIS
  M'BRIDE, WILLIAM SKEER, NATHAN SKEER, of Butler county, and JAMES BOLE,
  WILLIAM W. GIBSON, JACOB WEAVER, THOMAS ROBINSON, HENRY S. WEAVER, SAMUEL
  MURPHY, NOBLE NESBIT, and JOHN DRUM of Armstrong county, are hereby appointed
  commissioners, beginning at the borough of Butler, Butler county, and

  158. An act to incorporate the Pennsylvania Mining Company.
  That ROBERT RODGERS, JOSEPH CURTIS, A. RODGERS, JONATHAN WILMARTH, for the
  purpose fo mining gold, silver, copper, lead and tin, are hereby declared one
  body politic and corporate, in the counties of Adams, York, Lancaster and
  Dauphin.  14 Apr 1834.

  159. An act to incorporate the Bald Eagle and Spring creek Navigation company.
  That ROLAND CURTIN, THOMAS BURNSIDE, BOND VALENTINE, JAMES IRVIN, WILLIAM W.
  POTTER, JOSEPH HARRIS, JOSEPH MILES, JOHN RANKIN and ANDREW GREGG JR., of the
  county of Centre, RICHARD PETERS and JACOB LEX of the city of Philadelphia,
  are hereby appointed commissioners, to make a complete navigable canal, and a
  slack water navigation for passage up and down the Bald Eagle and Spring
  creeks, in the township of Bald Eagle, near the borough of Bellefonte, Centre
  county, for boats and other craft. and to make a tow path along the side of
  the same.   14 Apr 1834.

  160. An act to erect the towns of Wrightsville and Westphalia, in the county
  of York, into a borough, to be called the borough of Wrightsville.
  Bounded: Beginning on the river Susquehanna, at the foot of Bridge st.,
  thence along the land of WILLIAM WRIGHT, west to land of JAMES WRIGHT, to
  Fourth st., Locust st., to a post on JONATHAN MIFFLIN's land, Hellam st.,
  Third st., to a street adjoining  lands of JOSEPH DETWILER, etc.  The
  inhabitants shall vote at the house of JACOB RIEMAN, innkeeper, and SAMUEL

  170. An act vacating certain streets, lanes and alleys, in Williamsport and
  in Williamsburg.
  That part of the borough of Williamsport, Lycoming county, laid out into lots
  etc. by FRANCIS CHURCH and JEREMIAH CHURCH, south of the Pa. canal, bounded
  east by lands of P. VANDERBELT ESQ., is hereby vacated, and the title of the
  streets, etc. vested in WILLIAM F. PARKER, as if they had never been
  dedicated to the public use and benefit.

  The streets and alleys in the town of Williamsburg, Lebanon county, Plump
  street is vested in GEORGE SELTZER, purchaser from the original proprietors,
  as fully as though the same had never been dedicated to the public use and

  171. An act authorizing the laying out of a state road from the borough of
  Lebanon in Lebanon county, to Churchtown, in Lancaster county.

  172. An act authorizing the executors of the last will and testament of
  JOSEPH SHULTZ, dec. to sell and convey real estate, and for other purposes,
  That DANIEL SHULTZ, AMOS SHULTZ, and ISAAC SHULTZ JR., executors of the last
  will and testament of Joseph Shultz, late of Douglass Twp., Montgomery
  county, dec. are hereby authorized to sell all the real estate of the
  deceased, situated in the township of Hereford, Berks county, and to convey
  to the purchaser a deed.

  Whereas, ANDREW GREINER died intestate, in 1812 or thereabouts, and left
  seven children, each of whom are entitled to draw the sum of fifty dollars,
  but the amount of two shares has not been paid by the administrator, they
  having emigrated to the western country previous to the death of the
  deceased. Therefore it was directed that a lien of one hundred dollars remain
  against the real estate for the use of the two absent heirs. The two heirs
  have never appeared nor been heard of since their removal to the west, during
  the period of twenty-two years and great difficulty exists in the sale of the
  land inconsequence of this incumbrance being upon it. Therefore, the other
  heirs are hereby authorized to draw and receive the sum of one hundred

  of Wheeling.

  from the village of Mount Pleasant in Washington county, by Raccoon meeting
  house and _____ CRAFFORD's tavern, on the Pittsburg and Steubenville turnpike
  to the village of Clinton in Allegheny county.

  JOHNSTON MOORE and DAVID SUMMERVILLE of Cambria county, and ROBERT ELLIOTT of
  Huntingdon county, are hereby appointed commissioners to lay out a state road,
  beginning in Hollidaysburg, Huntingdon county, to intersect the public road
  leading from Clearfield town, Clearfield county, to Indiana, Indiana county,
  near the Cherry tree, on the West Branch of the Susquehanna.

  ABRAHAM FERTIG of Schuylkill county, JAMES DONAGAN of Berks county, and ADAM
  WISE of Lebanon county are hereby appointed commissioners to lay out a state
  road from Friedensburg, Schuylkill county, to Pinegrove, thence to Port
  Mifflin, across the bridge over Swatara creek, along the south side of the
  great reservoir of the Union Canal to the Swatara gap in the Blue mountain,
  thence to JOHN HARPER's tavern, on the road from Harrisburg to Jonestown.

  DAVID C. CUNNINGHAM, JOHN MURRIN of Butler county and SAMUEL AKENS of Venango
  county, are hereby appointed commissioners to lay out a state road from
  Centerville, Butler county, to ______ MCCAUSLIN's ferry, in Venango county.

  JAMES GILLES and WILLIAM ARMSTRONG of Jefferson county, and DAVID REYNER of
  Venango county, are hereby appointed commissioners to lay out a state road
  from the settlement on the head waters of Millstone creek, in Jefferson
  county, to the State road leading from the Clarion river bridge, on the
  Susquehanna and Waterford turnpike, in the county of Venango, near the farm
  of PETER WALLEY JR.

  JAMES WINSLOE of Jefferson county, ELISHA FENTON of Clearfield county, and
  BENJAMIN JOHNSTON of Huntingdon county, are hereby appointed commissioners to
  lay out a state road from the mouth of Little Bald Eagle creek, in Huntingdon
  county, through Clearfield county, to Punxatawney in Jefferson county.

  THOMAS MCQUAID of Westmoreland county, THOMAS NEIL of Allegheny county, and
  WILLIAM PURVIANCE of Butler county, are hereby appointed commissioners to lay
  out a state road from ______ M'QUAID's Inn in Westmoreland county by Tarentum
  to Saxonville in Butler county.

  WILLIAM HOYT of Luzerne county, EZEKIAL COLE, and DANIEL BEALER of Columbia
  county, are hereby appointed commissioners to lay out a state road from the
  Wilkes-Barre raod near Shickshinney through the townships of Union and
  Huntingdon, to the Susquehanna and Tioga turnpike at _____ JONES's mill.

  JOHN FRANKLIN of Schuylkill county, EZRA S. HAYHURST and JACOB YOHE of
  Columbia county, are hereby appointed commissioners to lay out a road
  beginning at the town of Tamaque in Schuylkill county, through Hossensack
  valley to intersect the Old Cattawissa road, near the head of Waste House
  run, thence to ______ SHUMAN's tavern, and intersection the Mifflinburg road,
  thence to the town of Mifflinburg in the county of Columbia, on the south side
  of the North branch of the Susquehanna river.  

  BERNARD MARTIN of Venango county and WILLIAM CURRY and JOSEPH PATTON of
  Crawford county, are hereby appointed commissioners to lay out a state road
  beginning on the Susquehanna and Waterford turnpike road, near Shippenville,
  in the county of Venango and extending to Titusville, in the county of
  Crawford, there to connect with the State road leading from Titusville to
  Union Mills, in the county of Erie.

  All parts of an act passed 25 Mar 1833, are declared null and void, so far as
  respects the part of a state road, laid out from New Hope to the Maryland
  state line, in a direction to Baltimore, situtated between the Swedesford
  road, where it enters the land of JOSEPH B. WALKER, in the township of
  Tredyffrin, Chester county, and the Paoli tavern, located on the Philadelphia
  and Lancaster turnpike road, is continued a road.

  THOMAS CHRISLEY and ALEXANDER M'BRIDE of the county of Butler, and WILLIAM
  HAMBLETON, of the county of Mercer, are hereby appointed commissioners to lay
  out a state road from the village of Portersville, in the county of Butler, by
  way of the public bridges over the Muddy creek and Slippery Rock, to the
  Mercer and Butler turnpike road, by the way of JAMES BRACKENRIDGEs in Mercer

  197. An act to incorporate a company to erect a toll bridge over the river
  Susquehanna at the village of Tunkhannock.
  That HENRY STARK, LUMAN FERRY, JAMES KELLY, ASA DANA, JOSEPH SLOCUM, NICHOLAS
  OVERFIELD, and JAMES WRIGHT are hereby appointed commissioners to erect a toll

  204. An act to enable the executors and widow of JAMES WALTON, to sell and
  convey certain real estate,
  That CHARLES LLOYD, CHARLES SHOEMAKER and EBENEZER WALTON, executors of the
  last will and testament of James Walton, late of Muncy creek twp., Lycoming
  county, dec. and CATHARINE WALTON the widow, are hereby authorized to sell
  any or all land situate in Muncy creed township, the estate of James Wilson
  dec. and by him given and devised to his wife for the term of her natural
  life, and to be sold after her decease. The said executors and Catharine
  Walton are empowered to convey a good deed.  The principal of the purchase
  money shall be put into securities and the interest thereof to be paid yearly
  or half yearly to Catharine Walton, during her natural life, and after her

  The Secretary of the Land Office is hereby authorized to issue a warrant and
  patent to James Beatty, of Mercer county, for a tract of land on which he now

  numbered 706, for which Beatty is to pay fifty cents per acre. with interest,

  207. An act vesting the right of this Commonwealth to the escheated estate of
  DIANA JAMES, dec. in SARAH DEXTER and JANE NELSON, wife of RALPH NELSON.

  211. An act for the relief of the heirs of CONRAD WEISER, dec.
  In consideration of his services as Indian interpreter, there were granted to
  Conrad Weiser, now deceased, a tract of land containing 305 acres, 141
  perches, in Northumberland county. It afterward appeared that the tract of
  land and island were not within the then new purchase from the Indians and
  were subsequently granted to other purchasers, who reserved the same against
  the heirs of Conrad Weiser, saving only 70 acres and 9 perches, which have
  been granted by patent, to JACOB WEISER, one of the heirs, who executed a
  mortgage, dated 1 May 1827 for the purchase money of $55.14.
  The Secretary of the Land Office is hereby required without fee to release
  and deliver to Jacob Weiser his mortgage dated 1 May 1827 of the land situate
  in Mahonoy, Northumberland county.  15 Apr 1834.

  212. An act to enable the owners of a tract of marsh and meadow land, situate
  in the township of Kingsessing, in the county of Philadelphia, to keep the
  banks, dams and sluices in repair, and to raise a fund to defray the expenses.
  Whereas a tract is bounded: beginning at the cliff of rocks adjoining Gray's
  Ferry, on the west side of the river Schuylkill, thence to the Bartram
  Botanic Garden, thence along the fast lands of ROBERT CARR, the heirs of
  DOCTOR JAMES H. BARTRAM, NATHAN JONES, JAMES BARTRAM, SARAH SMITH, GEORGE
  FUHR, the heirs of GEORGE GRAY, nd the heirs of DOCTOR BENJAMIN SAY, to the
  beginning, which said tract is embanked, but regulations are preventing the
  tide waters from overflowing the same, being found by experience to be
  inadequate and unequitable.  Therefore, the parcel called the eastern
  district of Kingsessing Meadows and it shall be lawful for the owners to meet
  every year at the inn at Gray's Ferry to choose managers.  The banks, dams and
  sluices shall hereafter be maintained and supported in common by the

  217. An act regulating election districts.
  The electors of Ohio Twp., in the county of Beaver, shall hold their
  elections alternately at the house now occupied by ABRAHAM COLE, in the
  village of Fairview, and at the house lately occupied by MACALL DAWSON, dec,
  in the village of Ohioville.

  The electors of Concrod twp., Erie county, shall hold their elections at a
  school house near the residence of JAMES M'CRAY.

  The township of Davidson, Lycoming county, shall be a separate elections
  district, and hold their elections at the house of JOSEPH CONVERSE JR.

  The electors of the part of Allen twp., Cumberland county, who held their
  elections at the house of JACOB GHER, shall hereafter hold their elections at
  the house of DAVID SHAEFFER.

  The electors of Providence twp., Luzerne county, shall hold their elections
  at the house now occupied by JAMES H. PHINNY. 

  The electors residing in part of Heidleberg twp., Berks county, who
  heretofore voted in the borough of Reading, shall hold their elections at the
  public house of HENRY BINCKLEY.

  The electors of Hamilton twp., Adams county, composing the sixth election
  district, shall hold their elections at the house of PHILIP EICH, in the town
  of Berlin.

  The electors of Blakely twp., Luzerne county, shall hold their elections at
  the house of WILLIAM H. COTTRILL.

  The election in the township of Bristol, Bucks county, shall be held at the
  public house in the village of Newport, now occupied by WILLIAM W. SISOM.

  The electors of Fannet twp., Franklin county, who heretofore held their
  elections at the school house on the lands of the heirs of _____ HOLLIDAY and
  ______ WALLACE, dec., shall now hold them at the school house on the land of
  JAMES DOYLE.

  The electors of Freehold twp., Warren county, shall hold their elections at
  the house of HEWLETT LEATT.

  The electors of Pine Grove twp., in Venango county, shall hold their
  elections at the house of CHRISTIAN HEHNLEN.

  The electors of Canal twp., Venango county, shall hod their elections at the
  house of JOSEPH A. GILLELAND.

  The township of West Whiteland, Chester county, shall be a separate election
  district, and the electors shall hold their elections at the house of GEORGE
  BOYERS, near the intersection of the West Chester and Red Lion road with the
  Pa. railway.

  The electors of Farmington twp., Tioga county, shall hold thier elections at
  the house now occupied by JACOB LICHTENTHALER.

  The electors of Shippen twp., Tioga county, shall hold their elections at the
  house now occupied by JOHN MATHERS.

  The township of Hector, Potter county, is hereby erected into a separate
  election district, and the electors shall hold thier elections at the house
  now occupied by B.G. CHAMBERLIN.

  The electors of the township and borough of Athens, Bradford county shall
  hold their elections at the house now occupied by GUY TOZER.

  The electors of Armstrong twp., Indiana county, shall hold their elections at
  the house now occupied by REUBEN JEWELL.

  That part of Green twp., Indiana county, south and west of a line, commencing
  at the line of Washington Twp., opposite the house of DAVID RALSTON, thence by
  a direct line to the house of ABRAHAM LYDICK, thence to the line of Centre
  twp., near the house of THOMAS REES, is hereby annexed to the election
  district directed to hold their elections at the court house in the borough
  of Indiana.

  The elections for the township of Nottingham, Washington county, shall be
  held at the house of FREDERICK COOPER.

  The electors of Washington twp., Union county, shall hold their elections at
  the house now occupied and kept as a public house by GEORGE STRAYER, in the
  town of Freeburg.

  The electors of Lackawaxen twp., Pike county, shall hold their elections at

  The township of West Earl, Lancaster county, shall be a separate election and

  FONDERSMITH, in the village of Earlville.

  The township of Rush, Dauphin county, shall be a separate district, and the

  The electors of the townships of Upper Salford and Marlborough, Montgomery
  county, shall hold their elections at the house now occupied by JOHN
  HARTRANFT, in the village of Sumneytown, in the township of Marlborough.

  the township of Lower Salford.

  The electors of Caernarven twp., Berks county, shall hold their elections at
  the house of DAVID MORGAN, in the village of Morgantown.

  The electors of Summerhill twp., Cambria county, shall hold their elections
  at the house now occupied by MICHAEL BENSON, in the town of Jefferson.

  The electors of Monaghan twp., York county, shall hold their elections at the
  house now occupied by JAMES KERR.

  The citizens of Lackawannock twp., Mercer county, who held their elections in
  the borough of Mercer, shall hold their elections at the house of JAMES
  BEYERS, and the electors of Shenango twp., shall hold their election at the
  house of THOMAS MITCHELTREE, Mercer county.

  The electors of Derry twp., Westmoreland county, shall hold their elections
  at the house of ROBERT DOTY, near Salem meeting house.

  The electors of part of Washington twp., Westmoreland county, that reside
  between Beaver run and the Loyalhanna twp. line, and north of a road leading
  form the Conemaugh river near Saltsburg, and crossing the Beaver run at the
  farm of ADAM BOWMAN and now in the possession of ABRAHAM EVANS, shall hold
  their elections at the house of JOHNSTON DUFFIELD and now in the possession
  of CONRAD HENRY.

  The Western part of Hempfield twp., Westmoreland county, shall form a
  separate election district, bounded: beginning where the twp. line crosses
  Beg Sewickly creek near _____ BECK's salt works, and running up creek to the
  mouth near the house of WILLIAM CLENDENIN, thence to the run head to the
  house of DAVID MILLER, thence to Robbstown and Greensburg road to the north
  end of PHILIP FOX's farm, to HENRY STENERS' farm, to a fording on Sewickly
  creek near the house of HENRY MILLER, thence to the Greensburg and Pittsburg
  turnpike road at the mouth of a lane between the houses of MRS. SINGER's and
  JACOB SMELLER's, thence to JACOB HEASLEY's saw mill, then to the house of
  JAMES M'MANIGLE, to the township line between the farms of WILLIAM MOORE and
  CHRISTIAN KEPPLE, to the beginning, and the electors shall hold their
  elections in the brick school house, in the town of Adamsburg, to be called
  the Adamsburg district.   15 Apr 1834.
      
  218. An act for the relief of WILLIAM ADAMS and others, of the revolutionary war,
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to DAVID FRAZIER ESQ.,
  of Washington county, for the use and benefit of William Adams of Greene
  county, a soldier of the revolutionary war, forty dollars immediately, and an
  annuity of forty dollars during the life of William Adams, payable half
  yearly, to commence on 1 Mar 1834.

  The State Treasurer is authorized to pay to JACOB BROWER and MATTHEW SKIPTON,
  of Mifflin county, soldiers, and MARY REED of Adams county, the widow of a
  revolutionary soldier, a gratuity of forty dollars to each immediately, and
  an annuity of forty dollars during life payable half yearly, to commence on 1
  Mar 1834.   15 Apr 1834. 

  219. An act to incorporate the Erie Fire and Marine insurance company of Erie
  County.
  That RUFUS S. REED, P.S.V. HAMOT, CHARLES M. REED, WILLIAM FLEMING, JOHN A.
  TRACY, GEORGE MOORE, SAMUEL BROWN, MINOR HUTCHINSON, JAMES C. MARSHALL, JOHN
  VINCENT, THOMAS H. SILL, SAMUEL HAYS, BESTER TORON, GEORGE SELDON, JOSIAH
  KELLOGG, JOSHUA BEERS and WILLIAM HIMROD, are hereby appointed commissioners
  to insure inland transportation of goods, wares and merchandize, plus loss by
  fire of any building.  15 Apr 1834. 

  220. An act directing the sale of town lots in the town of Beaver and other
  lands adjacent thereto.
  That JAMES LYON, BENJAMIN ADAMS, and JAMES EAKEN JR., are hereby directed to
  sell in the borough of Beaver, all the lots that have reverted to and became
  the property of the Commonwealth, laid out by JOHN LAWRENCE, SAMUEL WILSON
  and DAVID POTTER.  An act for the sale of town lots and other lands adjacent
  passed 2 Mar 1805, all the lots sold by JAMES ALEXANDER, GUIAN GREER, and
  JAMES LOGAN, which have reverted to and became the property of the
  Commonwealth.  The commissioners are hereby authorized to reserve to JACKSON
  SLOAN, SAMUEL POWER, and WILLIAM FIELDS, the right to remove any buildings
  they have erected on lots authorized to be sold.  15 Apr 1834. 	

  222. An act to authorize the sale of certain real estate, late the property
  of JASPER SLAYMAKER, GEORGE DENISON, JAMES P. M'MULLEN and PENELOPE ADAMS,
  and for other purposes,
  That MOLTEN C. ROGERS and NATHANIEL W. SAMPLE JR., guardians of the minor
  children of Jasper Slaymaker, late of Lancaster county, dec. are hereby
  authorized to sell all the right, title and interest of the minor children in
  a piece of ground on the east side of Prince St. in the city of Lancaster,
  being the western moiety of lot #231.

  GEORGE M. HOLLENBACK, ZIBA BENNETT and ESTHER ANN BOWMAN, guardians of the
  heirs of George Denison, late of the county of Luzerne, dec. are hereby
  authorized to sell and convey the real estate of George Denison dec. and to
  make and execute good and sufficient deeds to the purchasers provided that
  deeds were not made to others in his lifetime, and proof of purchase shown.

  JOHN JOHNSON and WILLIAM WADDLE, trustees of James P. McMullen, of Franklin
  county, are hereby authorized to sell and convey the tract of land conveyed
  to the trustees by RICHARD BARD on 23 Jan 1826, for the purpose of paying the
  purchase money, and interest remaining due and the surplus shall be applied to
  the objects provided for in the deed from Richard Bard.

  GAWIN ADAMS, guardian of Penelope Adams, daughter and heir at law of Penelope
  Adams dec., Indiana county, is hereby authorized to sell and convey by deed
  all the rights and title of the minor Penelope Adams, (being the one
  undivided eighth part) to a tract of 100 acres, situate in Centre Twp.,
  Indiana county, adjoining lands of FRANCIS GOMBERS, CONRAD RICE, the heirs of
  JOHN DENNISTON, DANIEL REPINE and others.

  The sale heretofore made by ISAAC BEGGS and JOHN MCEWEN, executors of the
  last will and testament of HENRY ANDERSON of Mercer county, dec. to JOHN REED
  of Butler county, a tract of land or plantation, in Wolf Creek Twp., Mercer
  county, on which JOHN WHITE then resided is hereby confirmed according to
  terms in the deed.  15 Apr 1834. 

  223. An act to incorporate a company to make a turnpike road from the borough
  of Johnstown in Cambria county, to New Alexandria in Westmoreland county.
  For the purpose of making a turnpike road, JAMES MURRY, JAMES L. CLOW,
  WILLIAM CRAIG, JOHN BIGHAM, JOHN SNODGRASS, JAMES M'CLELLAND, JOHN BELL,
  JACOB COVODE, WILLIAM MATHEWS of Westmoreland county, JOHN MATHEWS, PETER
  LIVERGOOD and J.C. M'GILL of Cambria county, are hereby appointed
  commissioners.   15 Apr 1834.

  224. An act for the relief of SAMUEL GIBSON, and WILLIAM RIDDLES, late
  supervisors of Nippenose twp. in the county of Lycoming,
  It shall be the duty of the supervisors elected for the year 1834 for the
  townships of Adams and Nippenose, to assess and collect and pay over for the
  use of a judgement which HENRY ANTES holds against Samuel Gibson and Willam
  Riddles, late supervisors, such sums as may appear due, with all legal
  costs,   15 Apr 1834.

  225. An act erecting the town of Mount Jackson, in the county of Beaver, into
  a borough.
  Bounderies: Beginning at the corner of the land of JOHN NESBITT, south by
  lands of WILLIAM WOODS, thence by land of JAMES WALLACE, to place of
  beginning.  All persons entitled to vote shall vote at the house now occupied
  by MATHEW A. CALVIN.  JOHN FERGUSON and ROBERT PADEN shall publish and
  superintend the first election.  15 Apr 1834.

  226. An act authorizing patents to be issued to CATHARINE ZEIGLER, and JOSEPH
  CHAPMAN, and for the sale of certain lands late of Dickinson college, and for
  other purposes,
  Whereas, Catharine Zeigler late CATHARINE REINICK, has presented that her
  father CHRISTIAN REINICK, was entitled to 300 acres of donation land in PA,
  and that he had been granted a patent for #2 in the first district of
  donation land containing 300 acres and the patent has been lost and she is
  the sole and only heir to the estate of Christian Reinick, now dec.
  Therefore, upon due proof to the Secretary of the Land Office, of the above
  facts and payment of the office fees she shall be entitled to receive a
  patent for the said lands.

  The title of the Commonweath to a tract of land of 150 acres, situate on the
  Hopbottom creek, Brooklyn Twp., Susquehanna county, claimed by Joseph
  Chapman, upon which he now resides, is hereby released to the said Chapman
  upon payment of the unpaid balance and fees and will be issued a patent for
  that tract of land.  15 Apr 1834.

  230. An act to incorporate a company to erect a bridge over the Schuylkill
  river near Phoenixville, Chester county.
  That JOSEPH HUNSIKER, JOHN MORGAN ESQ., ABRAHAM BROWER, JAMES A. PENNYPACKER,
  HENRY LOUCK ESQ., JOHN TODD, ABRAHAM OLWINE ESQ., and JOHN JACOBS of Chester
  and Montgomery county, are hereby appointed commissioners.   15 Apr 1834. 

  233. An act for the relief of WILLIAM BAILEY, late pay master of the 33rd
  regiment of Pa. militia,
  That the Auditor General is hereby authorized to draw his warrant on the
  State Treasurer in favor of William Bailey, late paymaster of the
  thirty-third regiment of Pa. militia, for the sum of $105.40, being the
  amount overpaid by him by a settlement of his accounts by the board of
  officers of said regiment.  15 Apr 1834.

  235. An act for the relief of JULIA PLANTOU, and others,
  Whereas, Julia Plantou wife of ANTHONY PLANTOU, GUSTAVUS PLANTOU, and OCTAVIA
  PLANTOU, children of the said Anthony and Julia have petitioned setting forth
  that Julia with her own money purchased a lot of ground on the south side of
  Spruce St. between Delaware fourth and fifth streets in Philadelphia, for the
  sum of $2500.00, deed dated 18 Jun 1830 was conveyed by vendors to Francis J.
  Troubat of the city in trust for Julia for life, remainder to Gustavus and
  Octavia for life, remainder to their heirs, without any power to her to
  revoke the said uses and to declare new ones, though when drawn up, she had
  requested to insert such power but was not done.  Julia with the aid of
  Gustavus has erected and built at three story brick building, and the
  property is now worth $8000,00. and have had opportunities of disposing of
  this property and purchasing other property but have been prevented by the
  trusts of this deed.
  Therefore, upon application to the Orphans court in the city of Philadelphia
  they are authorized to make a full investigation of the case and to grant
  relief by correcting omission in the said deed.  15 Apr 1834. 

  236. An act for the relief of sundry soldiers and widows of soldiers of the
  revolutionary war,
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay JACOB SCHUCHER, GEORGE
  TREINE and JOHN EVERHART of Berks county, HENRY HEFT of Bucks county, DAVID
  VANDERBELT of Adams county, RICHARD HAMILTON of Lancaster county, SAMUEL
  GIBSON of Chester county, EMANUEL DUEY of Dauphin county, WILLIAM STONE  of
  Chester county, and PETER KLINGMAN of Union county, soldiers of the
  revolutionary war, forty dollars each immediately and an annuity of forty
  dollars each during life, payable half yearly, to commence on 1 Mar 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay BARBARA DENTLINGER of York
  county, CATHARINE DOSH of Lancaster county, RHODA MCMASTERS of Lycoming
  county, and EVE KOCH of Dauphin county, widows of soldiers of the
  revolutionary war, forty dollars each immediately and an annuity of forty
  dollars each during life, payable half yearly to commence on 1 Mar 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay SIMON LINK of Berks county,
  JOHN MURPHY of Baltimore county, Maryland, and WILLIAM NICHEL of Mercer
  county, forty dollars immediately, as a gratuity and in full for their
  revolutionary services.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay CATHARINE FREY of Lancaster
  county, and to WILLIAM COX ESQ. of Juniata county, in trust for the exclusive
  use and benefit of JANE DAWSON, wife of PETER P. DAWSON of Juniata county,
  forty dollars each immediately, as a gratuity in full for services rendered
  by their husbands in the revolutionary war.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to NICHOLAS LONG  of
  Northumberland county, JAMES BLAIR of Westmoreland county, DAVID HARBISON, of
  Wilmington, state of Delaware, JOHN GROSS and MATTHEW BLACK of Adams county,
  forty dollars each immediately and an annuity of forty dollars each during
  life, payable half yearly, to commence on 1 Mar 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to SARAH BLACK of Adams
  county, and to PHOEBE RIGHTER  of Philadelphia county, forty dollars each
  immediately and an annuity of forty dollars each during life, payable half
  yearly to commence on 1 Mar 1834.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to JOHN HOLLMAN of Montgomery
  county, and WILLIAM KELLER  of Northampton county, forty dollars immediately
  in full for their revolutionary services.

  The annuity granted to ROBERT MCGLAUGHLIN of Adams county, by an act passed
  18 Mar 1834, shall hereafter be paid to ZEPHANIAH HERBERT of Adams county,
  for the use of Robert McGlaughlin.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to BARBARA SHAFFER of York
  county, and MARY MCILWAINE of Adams county, widows of revolutionary soldiers,
  forty dollars each immediately and an annuity of forty dollars to each during
  life, payable half yearly, to commence on 1 Mar 1834.    15 Apr 1834.

  242. A supplement to an act incorporating a company to erect a bridge over
  the Monongahela river at Williamsport, and to establish the Dunstable ferry,
  on the West Branch of the river Susquehanna.
  JOHN QUIGLEY, shall have the right at his cost to make a good and convenient
  landing on the north and south side of the West Branch of the river
  Susquehanna, and to use the river between the said landings as a public
  ferry, on the estate of John Quigley, situate on the great raod leading
  across the river, between Dunstable and Bald Eagle townships, near to the
  mouth of Sugar Run, Lycoming county.  15 Apr 1834.

  244. A supplement to an act to erect the town of Milton, Northumberland
  county, and the town of Butler, in boroughs, passed 26 Feb 1817 and for other
  purposes.
  SIMON CAMERON, GEORGE MISH, WALTER C. LIVINGSTON and DOCTOR J. GREEN, are
  hereby appointed commissioners to do the several things contained in the acts
  incorporating the Rock Cabin and Tangascootack Railroad company.   15 Apr 1834.

  245. An act to authorize the Canal commissioners to make a re-estimate of the
  work done by JONATHAN LESLIE, in constructing the Aqueduct at Shaffer's Ford,
  Huntingdon County.
  Plus the work done by _____ BISHOP and ______ M'COY, in constructing the
  aqueduct over the Juniata river at Jack's narrows, and the balance due if
  any, to be paid.  15 Apr 1834.

  249. An act to incorporate the Southwark Fire Insurance company, of the
  county of Philadelphia.

  RESOLUTIONS



  2. Resolution appointing a commissioner to take charge of the Public property
  at Erie and Waterford.
  Whereas by the act passed 12 Mar 1812, THOMAS WILSON, JOHN BOYD and JOHN
  LYTLE were appointed commissioners to take charge of lands, and whereas the
  commissioners died some years since, and the survivor, John Boyd has declined
  acting, therefore, RUFUS S. REED, of the borough of Erie, to take charge of
  the land.   21 Feb 1834. 

  4. Resolution relative to the claims of JOHN SNODGRASS and JOHN DURNO,
  That the canal commissioners are hereby authorized to settle and adjust
  claims of John Snodgrass and John Durno, late contractors on the Allegheny
  Portage Rail way, and make them allowance for work done, as appears equitable
  and just.   20 Mar 1834.

  6. Resolution for the relief of JOHN R. DEAN, a contractor upon the North
  branch division of the Pa. canal,
  Whereas from sundry documents that John R. Dean, JAMES D. GALLUP and SAMUEL
  THOMAS became the contractors for the construction of section #18, North
  Branch division, Pa. canal and that they have completed the section and after
  the work was completed the engineer on the line altered the original location
  of the canal in consequence the work became changed to the great disadvantage
  of he contractors. Therefore, the canal commissioners is directed to pay to
  John R. Dean, the surviving partner, embankment price according to the
  contract, for one half of the common excavation in said section as was
  estimated by the engineer in his final estimate of the same.  1 Apr 1834.

  10. Resolution for the relief of JOHN KELKER, late deputy marshal of the
  Eastern district of Pa.
  Whereas, by a resolution passed 9 Apr 1833, John Kelker, late deputy marshal
  of the eastern district of Pa. was exonerated from the payment of a certain
  judgement obtained against him in the Circuit court for the county of
  Dauphin, but not from the payment of the costs of said suit: whereas, the
  release should extend to the costs, as the practice has been established in
  the case of ISAAC GRIFFITH, late deputy marshal of Bucks county, therefore
  the Auditor General is hereby authorized to settle an account for said costs
  and place a credit on the books and draw a warrant for the amount of
  $18.60.  14 Apr 1834. 

  12. Resolution for the relief of JACOB HUGGINS of Perry county,
  Whereas, Jacob Huggins of Perry county, represents he has sustained damage by
  the construction of the Pa. canal through his land, which was not ascertained
  until the water was let into the same: as the time exceeded the one year
  limit before the actual damage could be ascertained it was decided against
  him and as it is but right that the Commonwealth should do justice to every
  citizen.
  Therefore, the board of canal commissioners are hereby authorized to
  entertain jurisdiction of the case of Jacob Huggins of Perry county, for
  damages done to his property as fully as if nothing had ever been done in
  said case.   14 Apr 1834.

  15. Resolution relative to a claim of the Commonwealth against CHRISTIAN
  SPAYD, as river commissioner, under the act of 1805, for improving the river
  Susquehanna.
  That the Auditor General is hereby authorized to settle the account of
  Christian Spayd, as river commissioner, under the act "An act raising by way
  of lottery, the sum of $20,000.00 for removing obstructions and improving
  navigation of the river Susquehanna" passed 18 Feb 1805, agreeably by
  arbitrators, filed in the office of the court of Common Pleas of Dauphin
  county, 17 Feb 1834, in a suit against Christian Spayd and the Auditor
  General is hereby authorized to enter satisfaction on said suit.   15 Apr
  1834. 

  16. Resolution relative to the claim of EDMUND BURKE,
  That the canal commissioners are hereby authorized to settle the claim Edmund
  Burke, late contractor on Ligonier line of the Pa. canal, on fair and
  equitable principles and if any thing shall be found due him, to draw their
  warrant on the treasury for the sum awarded.   15 Apr 1834.

  17. Resolution for the relief of HUGH M'GINLEY and PATRICK M'GINLEY,
  That it shall be the duty of the canal commissioners to examine the claim of
  Hugh and Patrick M'Ginley for construction the lower towing path section of
  the West Branch division of the Pa. canal, and to allow them such
  compensation, if any, and if necessary to examine papers and witnesses in
  relation to the claim.

  That the canal commissioners be instructed to estimate the expenses of
  bailing and making a coffer dam at the out let locks #9 and 10, Juniata
  division, Pa. Canal, incurred by JAMES S. ESPY, contractor, in constructing
  said locks according to the agreement between the principal engineer and the
  contractor, and that the work be settled in the usual way.   15 Apr 1834.

  18. Resolution for the relief of WILLIAM DILWORTH and JOSEPH DILWORK, and
  LEWIS S. CORYELL,
  That the canal commissioners are hereby authorized to reassess the damage
  sustained by William and Joseph Dilwork and Lewis S. Coryell, of Bucks
  county, by the construction of the Delaware division of the Pa. canal,
  through their premises, and that they have the right to appeal to the board
  of appraiser the same as if no proceeding had been had in the case.   15 Apr
