D. BREAM, farmer, P. O. Unity, was born in Butler Township, this county, March 24, 1840, and is the son of John and Margaret (Myers) Bream, natives of this county. The father was a farmer, and reared a family of five children, of whom W. D. is the eldest. Our subject was reared on the farm and educated at the school of his neighborhood. He chose the vocation of farming and in it has met with success. He is also a natural mechanic, and is able to turn his hand to any kind of mechanism. He was married in 1866, to Anna E., daughter of Jonas Rebert, and of German descent. Mr. and Mrs. Bream are the parents of the following named children: Harry C., Ella M., John M., Edwin S., Edith A., Mary N. and Edna Merttle. Mr. and Mrs. Bream are members of the Lutheran Church. In politics he is a Democrat.
