Shorb, still resides. His parents were John and Mary (Beecher) Shorb. Our subject was educated in the county, has been a farmer nearly all his life, and for the last fourteen years has been living in McSherrystown, on the plot where his grandmother, Mary (Obold) Shorb, resided for many years. Edward Shorb was married here, December 27, 1859, to Miss Sarah C., daughter of Samuel and Mary (Smith) Sneeringer. Mr. and Mrs. Shorb are members of the Conowago Chapel. He has never been an office seeker, and has been identified with the Democratic party all his life. He owns several farms, which comprise from 250 to 300 acres of good limestone land. As a farmer he has been successful, and has decided to pass the evening of his life in the village of McSherrystown, where he enjoys the esteem and good-will of his fellow townsmen.
