WRIGHT (deceased) was born in Menallen Township, this county, October 30, 1806, and was a son of William Wright. He followed farming, and was highly respected. He married Charlotte J. Steward, a native of Butler Township, this county, born May 3, 1811, a daughter of David Steward. By this union there are two children: Rachel A., born December 25, 1842, now the wife of Eliakim Walhey (they reside on a part of her father’s homestead in Menallen Township, this county), and Albert S., born December 30, 1845. Mr. Wright was a member of the Society of Friends. His wife was reared a Presbyterian, and, although never joining, usually accompanied her husband to the Friends’ meetings. Mr. Wright died July 8, 1882, and his widow August 18, same year.
