Twenty-two criminal cases have so far been returned to the Clerk of the Courts to be tried and disposed of at the November Court next week. They are as follows: Three cases of Com. vs. Samuel Woodyard, one charging assault and battery on oath of Clara Clay and other two surety of peach, one by Clara Clay and the other by Arthur G. Clay. The three cases being returned by Justice Quimby. There is a fourth case growing out of the same matter, Com. vs. Archie Clay, charging willfully and maliciously shooting another on oath of Sam Woodyard. Last case returned by Justice Hill. There are two cases, Com. vs. Hezekiah Connely, charging assault and battery and maintenance on oath of Vertie Connely but they have been settled and costs paid. They were returned by Justice V. H. Lilly. Com. vs. E. J. Trieber, charged with larceny of a dog on oath of C. F. Allen, returned by Justice Lilly. Com. vs. Thomas and William Small, charged with larceny on oath of Amanda Wildasin, returned by Justice V. H. Lilly. Com. vs. Edward I. Spahr, charged with statutory rape, adultery and fornication and bastardy on oath of Mae E. Tipton, returned by Justice J. L. Hill. Com. vs. Danl. Laughman, charged with larceny as bailee on oath of E. Bittinger, returned by Justice V. H. Lilly. Com. vs. Henry Fleming, charged with neglecting and refusing to pay board bill on oath of Louisa Noel, returned by Justice V. H. Lilly. Com. vs. Annie Galbrath, charged with assault and battery on oath of Mack Yingling and Com. vs Lillie Yingling, charged with assault and battery on oath of J. T. Galbraith were returned by Justice S. H. Eicholtz. Com. vs. Charles H. Rohrbaugh, charged with fornication and bastardy on oath of Cara E. Hahn, returned by Justice C. H. Mayers, of Littlestown. Com. vs. Jos. Galbraith, charged with assault on oath of Lillie Yingling was returned by Justice J. L. Hill. Com. vs. Geo. Sillik, charged with non-maintenance on oath of Ida Sillik was returned by Justice J. L. Hill. Com. vs. Harvey Jacobs, charged with assault and battery on oath of Emma J. Resser, returned by Justice D. H. Markley, of York Springs. Com. vs. Daniel and Maggie Laughman, charged with larceny on oath of E. M. Bittinger, returned by Justice V. H. Lilly. Com. vs. Jacob Stock, charged with assault and battery on oath of Max Davis, returned by Justice J. L. Hill. Com. vs. Saml. P. Sterner, charged with larceny as bailee on oaths of John L. Myers and Samuel Hoover, returned by Justice J. L. Hill. Com. vs. Theo. Hawkins, charged with assault and battery on oath of Geo. B. Slonaker, returned by Justice J. L. Hill. Com. vs. Chester I. Pottorff, charged with fornication and bastardy on oath of Mary C. Winand, returned by Justice Geo. Meckley, of near Heidlersburg. The case of Com. vs. A. G. Parry will be tried. He is charged with the forgery of a signature to a $15,000 check which Wm. Barkdoll of the Globe Hotel cashed. The defendant is in jail, having been arrested in Baltimore.
