Mr. Arthur Bair last Saturday sold his property on South Queen street, occupied by Mr. Eli Fissel, to Mr. Geo. H. Stewart, of Union Mills. Mr. Joseph Young and sister Miss Annie, of Lumber street, visited on Wednesday and Thursday their sister, Mrs. Geo. L. Welsh, and family, of York. Rev. Dr. J. W. Ott and son Lyman, of Hagerstown, spent Tuesday and Wednesday with Mrs. Ott, who is visiting her mother, Mrs. M. Jane Weaver, of East King street. Mrs. S. D. Mehring and daughter, Mrs. Milton Krug, of South Queen street, spent last Thursday in York with the former’s son, and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Benton Mehring. Miss Lillian Smith, a nurse in training at the Mercy Hospital, Baltimore, has been called home owing to the critical illness of her father, Mr. Aug. Smith, of West King street. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. W. Huff, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Huff and Mr. and Mrs. John Little, of this place, on Monday attended the funeral of Mrs. Chas. Huff’s father, Mr. Geo. W. Stahl, at Hanover. Mr. and Mrs. James P. Staub, of South Queen street, on Sunday and Monday visited their daughter, Mrs. Curvin Carbaugh, and family, of Mt. Pleasant, and their neice, Mrs. Paul Eyster, and family, of Brushtown. Q. C. Corbin, of Westminster, has been granted a license by the public service commission to conduct an auto bus line between Littlestown and Westminster. The bus service will be started on or about April 1st. Mr. Augustus F. Study, of near town, is now hauling newly-sawed lumber to his lot on East King street, preparatory to building a new bungalow, which he will erect in the near future, and which he will occupy when completed. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Feeser, of near town, on Sunday entertained the following: Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Crouse, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Crouse, and son Paul Jr., of this place; Misses Roberta and Grace and Mr. Clarence Blizzard, of Baltimore; Misses Dorothy Crouse and Martha Lentz, of Gettysburg. Mrs. Nevin Rebert, of Frederick, will spend this Saturday with her parents-in- law, Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Rebert, of East King street. She will be accompanied home by her mother, Mrs. Sarah Stonesifer, who has been visiting her son, Mr. Bernard Stonesifer, and family, of South Queen street.
