Glover, superintendent of the Washington Co. Hospital, Hagerstown, and Miss Margaret Rudkin, anaesthelist at the Cooley-Dickson Hospital, Northampton, Mass., are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Warner at their home on Baltimore street. Robert F. Bell, formerly of Hunterstown, has opened a sporting goods store on Carlisle street in the room formerly occupied by the restaurant. The Adams County Farm Bureau is now prepared to furnish reports on weather conditions. The reports which come direct from Washington, will forecast the weather for the following two days and will be given out by telephone by Co. Farm Agent Hoffman, and will be relayed to various parts of the county by the cooperative system which has been worked out. This makes it possible for orchardists, farmers and others interested to have the weather reports a few minutes after they are issued at Washington. A. R. Orner, of Biglerville, is preparing to open a tire vulcanizing shop in the vacant store room on Carlisle street near the W. M. R. R. depot about the latter part of the month. Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Dougherty of Hazleton, spent the week end with Mrs. Emma Homan at her home on Baltimore street. J. Nicholas Weaver, who has spent the past nine months in Buffalo and Canada, has returned to his home on West Middle street. James W. Daniels, who has been visiting his son, Rev. Harry Daniels, Baltimore street, for the past three weeks has returned to his home at Granite Falls, N. C. Thirty-one members of the Methodist S. S. S. class taught by M. R. Remmel and J. T. Mahon, motored to New Oxford on Sunday where they visited the Methodist Sunday School at their session. Dr. J. W. Croskey, of Philadelphia, is the guest of Dr. and Mrs. J. P. Dalbey, at their home on Baltimore street. Mr. and Mrs. Emory Forrest, York street, celebrated the twentieth anniversary of their marriage on last Friday, April 8th.
