William Becker, of McSherrystown, was arrested by Officer Whaler about 10 o’clock Saturday night for disorderly conduct on Center Square, the result of a fracas. It seems that there has been bad feeling between some boys of McSherrystown and Littlestown for some time and on Saturday, under the influence of liquor, they tried to solve the “feud” on the Square on this place, when Officer Whaler put a stop to the hostilities. Becker was taken to the “Blue Hen” and after a brief confinement, was released by Burgess Sheely, after forfeiting a cash sum for his appearance before the Burgess this evening.
