Mr. and Mrs. Freed in Jail.

Joseph Freed and his wife, of near McSherrystown are in jail at Gettysburg, to await the action 
of the grand jury.  Freed being wanted by the Gettysburg authorities, and his wife being 
charged with assault and battery by her husband.  Mrs. Freed was committed to jail by Justice 
V. H. Lilly, of McSherrystown.  Both defendants were arrested by constable Chas. D. Groft, of 
McSherrystown.  They have several children who will have to be cared for by the county 
authorities.
