Gracey Goes to Jail

Carmen Gracey, arrested Thursday by Officer Smeach, on warrants by Justice Geo. 
L. Rice, of McSherrystown, on oath of Louisa Gracey, his wife, charged with 
assault and battery, and on oath of his mother-in-law, Flora Laughman, charging 
him threatening to burn her barn, dynamite the house and send them all to ---- 
at once, was given a hearing before Squire Rice on Friday.  After hearing the 
evidence, the accused was committed to the Adams county jail to await the action 
of the grand jury.
