The fourth annual reunion of the Mummert family of America was held on Saturday 
in the Mummert grove, near East Berlin.  Those attending came from East Berlin, 
Hanover, Harrisburg, Baltimore, Dover, Lancaster, York Springs, York, Spring 
Grove, Brodbeck, Philadelphia, Seven Valleys, McSherrystown and other sections 
of the country.  The oldest person present was John Mummert, Dover R. D. 4, 85 
years.  He is a great-great-grandson of Deterick Mummert.  The youngest person 
present was an eight-weeks-old son of Ada L. (Mummert) Burgard.  The child is a 
great-great-great-great-great-grandchild of Deterick Mummert who sailed from 
Rotterdam, Sept. 1, 1736 on the ship Harley.
