This was the eleventh annual reunion of the clan. A memorial service was held in the Mummert meeting house, Hamilton township, Adams county. Many of the members of the Mummert clan are buried in the cemetery adjoining the church. The memorial address was delivered by Rev. Dr. Charles E. Wehler, Frederick, Md. Rev. Dr. Wehler concluded his address by urging the members of the clan to do all within their power to help keep the Sabbath a different day from other days of the week. The memorial service was opened with the singing of “Blest Be the Tie that Binds,” followed with prayer by Clarence Mummert.
