Died at Lynchburg

William J. Ackerman, of McSherrystown, died Thursday, Feb. 20, in the hospital at Lynchburg, 
Virginia, from a complication of diseases, aged 28 years, 8 months and 15 days.

The deceased was a son of George L. Ackerman, of 613 Main street, McSherrystown.  He was 
married about four years ago to Miss Edna Ziegler, of Middletown, Md., who survives.  He also 
leaves a brother, Joseph Ackerman, of McSherrystown, and four sisters, Mrs. Clayton Riffle, 
Harrisburg; Mrs. Maurice D. Leppo, Mrs. Paul Hoffheins, and Mrs. Paul Overbaugh, of 
McSherrystown.

The young man was a cigarmaker by trade, leaving McSherrystown about three years ago, during 
which time he has been employed at various places in the South.
