All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/adams/ _______________________________________________ Thomas Aumen Thomas Aumen, a former Hanoverian, died at his late home near Schwartz’s schoolhouse, Union township, Adams county, Saturday, at 1 p.m. following an illness of six months from yellow jaundice. He was aged 51 years. The deceased was a son of the late John and Barbara Aumen. For a period of over 25 years he was employed by the late Allowies Smith and his son, Curvin J. Smith, in their livery and exchange stables. Some years ago he took up farming which he followed until the time of death. Mr. Aumen was married to Miss Eva Decheubell, daughter of Mrs. Josephine Decheubell, of Howard County, Md., who survives, with four children – Joseph, John, Leo and Francis, all at home. Also one brother, John Aumen, of Baltimore, and a sister, Mrs. Catharine Cruse, of Cockeysville, Md., O. A. Decheubell, of this place, is a brother-in-law of the deceased. Funeral, Tuesday, July 11. High mass of Requiem in St. Joseph’s church at 9 a.m. Very Rev. James A. Huber officiating. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, July 15, 1916
