All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/adams/ _______________________________________________ Nonagenarian Dies Near Littlestown Handwritten Date of 1937 David Henry Bair, Retired Farmer, Taken By Death - Funeral Services Wednesday David Henry Bair, nonagenarian, died Sunday afternoon at 4.50 o’clock, at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brown, Littlestown RD 2. Mr. Bair who was a retired farmer, was aged 90 years. He was a son of the late George D. and Polly Hahn Bair, and was born October 6, 1846. His wife, who before marriage was Anna Mary Myers, preceded him in death about forty years ago. Surviving him are eight children, Mrs. John Clouser, Littlestown RD; William H. Bair, Hanover; Mrs. Joseph Brown, with whom he resided, H. Clinton Bair and Theodore f. Bair, Keymar, Md.; Mrs. Thomas Koontz, Kingsdale. Mrs. John Thomas and Mrs. Lewis Hoffheins, Hanover; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. He was a life-long member of St. Bartholomew’s Lutheran church. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning, meeting at the J. W. Little & Son funeral home, Littlestown, at 9.30 o’clock. Further services will be conducted in St. Bartholomew’s Union church. His minister, the Rev. A. M. Hollinger, pastor of the West Manheim Lutheran charge, will officiate. Burial will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 o’clock.
