DEATH OF MRS. GEORGE CASSATT

Hammers’ Hall, March 18 – Mrs. George Cassatt, a resident of Highland township 
near here, died last Wednesday from pneumonia at the age of nearly 41 years.  

Her maiden name was Miss Sarah Jane McGaughey, and she lived in Mummasburg prior 
to moving to Highland township eight years ago.

She leaves her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Luther Currens, Hammers’ Hall, Miss 
Eva Cassatt, at home; and one sister, Mrs. Charles Shultz, of near Hereter’s 
Mill.

Funeral services were held at the house Friday morning, conducted by Rev. D. T. 
Koser, of Arendtsville.  Interment at Mummasburg.
