LOUISA COX Mrs. Louisa Cox, one of the oldest and best known residents of the town died at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Sallie Cox, Baltimore street, Saturday morning about 8:30 o'clock. She suffered a stroke of appoplexy on the Sunday previous and had been in a critical condition from that time until death. Her age was about 92 years. Mrs. Cox's maiden name was Louisa Fahnestock, a daughter of Samuel and Susan Fahnestock, of near Abbottstown, where she was born. In her early childhood the family moved to Gettysburg. After he marriage to Dr. John A. Cox, of Lancaster, she lived in Reading and Philadelphia but upon the death of her husband in 1865, returned to Gettysburg. Mrs. Cox is survived by one son, James Brady Cox, Chicago. The funeral was held Monday at 3 p.m. from the home of Mrs. Sallie Cox. Interment in Evergreen cemetery. Star and Sentinel, March 20, 1915
