Mrs. Levina M. Deardorff

Mrs. Levina Mummert Deardorff, 88, died at her home, Aspers R. D. 1, on Sunday 
afternoon at 4 o’clock.  Death was due to infirmities and followed an illness of 
about a week.

The deceased was the widow of John A. Deardorff, who died 23 years ago.  She was 
the last surviving member of the Mathias Mummert family.  Surviving are three 
sons, George E., Biglerville; Melvin O., Biglerville R. D. 1, and William E. 
Deardorff, Hanover; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  The deceased 
was a member of the Brethren church.  The funeral will be held on Wednesday with 
services at the home at 1 o’clock and further services in Mummert’s Meeting 
House, near East Berlin.  The Rev. W. Grant Group, the Rev. B. F. Lightner and 
the Rev. Henry W. Sternat will officiate.  Interment will be made in the 
adjoining cemetery.
