Dicks, a well-known lady of Adams county, died suddenly at the Dicks homestead, Reading township, Adams county, at 9 o’clock p.m. March 9, following a paralytic stroke. She was aged 74 years, 4 months and 13 days. The deceased was in her usual health during the day, and her death was unexpected. Miss Dicks was a daughter of the late Thomas N. Dicks and wife of Adams county, and is survived by the following brothers: Associate Judge W. Howard Dicks and John Dicks, residing on the homestead; Nealy Dicks, of New Oxford; Haines B. Dicks, of Round Hill, Adams county, and Robert M. Dicks, of St. Louis, Missouri. Funeral Monday, March 13, services at her late home at 1:30 p.m., Rev. Walter E.
