All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/adams/ _______________________________________________ Samuel Ditzler, of Hanover, died Tuesday of last week at the York city hospital from an abscess of the lungs, aged 48 years and 5 months. Mr. Ditzler had been ill for several months and was taken to the York hospital for treatment May 20th last. He was a son of the late Samuel Ditzler, of Berwick township, this county, and was united in marriage 27 years ago to Miss Mary Reichert, daughter of George Reichert, of Abbottstown, who survives him, with three sons – Willis R. Ditzler, of York, Elmer of London, Eng., and Raymond at home, and two daughters – Mrs. Harry Stine, Hanover and Miss Almena Ditzler, of York. Three brothers, D. H. Ditzler, of Hanover, John Ditzler, of near Littlestown, Rev. Henry Ditzler, of Mt. Jackson, Va., and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Wolf, of Abbottstown, and Miss Amanda Ditzler, of Hanover, also survive. The body was taken to Hanover last Wednesday and the funeral was held last Friday. Short services were held at the house, after which the funeral proceeded to Abbottstown, where further services were conducted in the Reformed church, and interment made in the Reformed cemetery, Rev.
