What work is absolutely necessary on Sunday is done between the hours of 8 and 11 a.m. Mr. Dixon reported for work about 8 o’clock, and while standing under a huge boulder, in the quarry hole, which was apparently firm, it toppled over, falling upon Mr. Dixon and killing him instantly. Four men, with iron bars, removed the stone, and Dr. H. M. Alleman, of Hanover, who was summoned by telephone, responded promptly, but the man was beyond human aid. The body was removed to a building near by and prepared for burial. At 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon the remains were interred in Mt. Olivet cemetery, Rev. A. M. Heilman, pastor of St. Matthew’s Lutheran church, officiating. The unfortunate man worked for the company about a year. He was a stranger in these parts and he never spoke of having any relatives.
