Mrs. Michael H. Dunkle, formerly Miss Theresa Mumma of Bendersville, died in the 
Harrisburg hospital Tuesday of last week from burns received the day previously.  
She had been ill from pneumonia and sufficiently recovered to be out of bed but 
in a weak condition.  Monday evening she went to the cellar with a lighted lamp.  
A small pet dog ran ahead and at the foot of the stairs, the dog ran under her 
feet, tripping and throwing her to the floor and burning oil set fire to her 
clothes.  She would have been 30 years of age Friday of this week.  She leaves a 
husband and a four year old son, and is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. 
David Mumma, four sisters and two brothers.
