Dutters, Baltimore Street, Gettysburg, was found drowned in a fresh water pool in the rear of Mr. Dutter's residence. How the accident occurred is not exactly known, but it is supposed he went, as was his frequent habit, to the pool, from which a stream of water was constantly flowing, to get a drink and fell in. During the evening he had been playing with other children, but unfortunately no one was with him when the accident occurred. The pool was several feet deep. Expressions of warm and tender sympathy are universally expressed by our citizens for the bereaved parents. He was a bright, interesting boy, aged 8 years, 6 months, and 27 days.
